Since I've been told CF tries to give 30 days notice for BMQ, on Jan 10th I decided to book a four day Bahamas vacation later this month figuring it would not interfere with BMQ. This week I received a call for BMQ start Feb 2 with a swearing in date of Jan 23rd. I figured perfect timing - get sworn in on Friday, vacation Sunday through Thursday and report to Ste Jean on Saturday evening. Now a junior member has advised that I may need to get permission to leave the country. If so, will it simply be a matter of the recruiting center approving my going to the Bahamas or is this more complicated? Thinking I should advise recruiting but since closed for night, wondering if anyone can advise online. Thank you.
