Ok ive been looking on the forums for a long time now and just want to know a few things if it isnt to much of a bother.

1. I heard on a news article they are trying to speed up the recruitment process by letting your own doctor do your medical so 30% will go through in a week and 50% will go through in a month.... Any going into that now and know anything about it?

2. I have made it my goal to join the infantry and serve my country for at least 3 years and then decide from their what to do.... But the only thing slowing me down is a bad left knee.... Do they allow knee braces their? it doesn't hurt much but after doing 5k + the next day its pretty sore without a knee brace.

My parents are trying to get me away from the army awkwardly enough (probably the war) but anyways i believe it will give me new assets, give me more outgoing and confident. Im looking for a challenge and can't stand the mind numbing boring labour im doing right now to the point i only work 1day a week  :) ...(just training).. I will be sending my application as soon as i get my reference letters. Sorry for telling you my life story but just annoyed with being told the army isnt the way to go as if im going to waste my life and the life of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice were wasted.

P.S would have posted up a lot sooner but something was wrong with my e-mail. Anyways thanks in advance.  :army:

This isn't a personal attack but maybe you should reconsider your choice to infantry. If 5km run hurts I can bet your immobile after rucking 20km.Also the battle fitness test is 13km with ruck and FFO.Not to mention the combat weight in Afghanistan you may have to hump over certain distances.

I'm not infantry but I'm sure someone here that is will reinterate points.

Maybe reconsider.

its no problem with knee brace im used to running a lot from soccer/track .... without theirs some problems  ;D
