A reorganisation and amalgamation of British Army health services will result in new badges and uniforms for some.

Three British Army healthcare corps are being amalgamated into a new modern organisation called the Royal Army Medical Service.

The new corps has been formed by combining the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC), the Royal Army Dental Corps (RADC) and Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps (QARANC).

On X, British Army Medical Services posted; "The amalgamation will ensure that the next generation of the Army will continue to be supported by a modern corps capable of delivering healthcare on exercises and operations at home and around the world." . . .

These three cap badges have been converted to the one. The doggy and horsey docs (the other corps in Army health services) will stay a separate corps.

Ich - Tooth Faeries sharing hat brass...we had the Flying Nuns amalgamated a long time ago, kind of surprised it took them this long.

I don’t know if “mold grey” is a great headdress colour for a Health Services branch :ROFLMAO:

Not much different with the beret colour, just a slightly lighter shade. Grey has always been the corps colour for the QAs dating back to their start when their working dress (ward uniform) was grey. As for a connection to "mould", very appropriate for health services; one of the greatest medical allies during WW2 was penicillin - praised by wounded soldiers and syphilitic Sergeants.

Not my first choice...just to really upset some folks, I could suggest what the South African Defence Force Medical Corps wore => Maroon or some other off sanguine colour.
