Suggestion: New posts

One thing that would make navigating threads a little easier here is that when a new post is made in a thread you have previously seen the icon changes. So say you log in at 0900 check a few threads then head to work and get back at 1500 and a few of the threads you previously checked have had new posts added to them, they would have a different icon beside the thread to indicate posts have been added to the thread since your last viewing of it.

Personally I think it'd make checking hot threads a lot easier.

Have you tried using the "Show Unread posts since your last visit" button at the top left hand corner of your screen?
I just hit that and see if anything new has been posted.

Actually, you should see a "new" icon next to any topics that have new posts... Just click on the new icon to go directly to the new posts...

Hey, I was just about to post the same thing, and it did the little "while you were typing a new reply has been posted."  Now thats a feature I like.
