SUMMER TASKINGS 06

I tried to do a search for this but everytime I do one it stops halfway throug so I started this thread.

Could anyone please help inform me as to what it is I can do to get a tasking for this summer? I have already been to my BOR where I was told that they are under-staffed and over worked right now, trying to get ranges planned and what not.
I was just wondering If someone could maybe point me in the right direction so maybe I could get some information together to pass on to the Soldiers in the BOR so I can hopefully do something with the military this summer.

      Any help would be very greatly appreciated.

That is about it.

Taskings and Courses are handled through you Unit orderly room.  If you look at your Routine Orders or hear in an "O" Gp about a Crse or Tasking, then put you name in for it.  For us to first off speculate where in the country you live, and then list off all the Taskings there are, and then which Taskings may apply to whatever Trade you may be, really is asking a lot. 

Best advice.....Check at your Unit.  What did you hear in "O" Gps?  What did you read in Routine Orders?  You still have to go through your Chain of Command and Orderly Room to apply for them.......so that is the way to go.

Alrite Mr. Wallace thank you very much. Thats the answer I was expecting but I figure " If you don't ask...You don't get" right?

I'll follow up on your advice and keep bugging our summer staff in the BOR lol.

You can also ask your plt / Tp WO or Sgt for any info. They can go to your unit's Ops and Training cell and get more info.

Most often though, as George  put it, taskings normally come down in O Groups or in ROs

To add to above, seeing as how it is now the second week of JULY you are probably SOL when it comes to getting any taskings at all (the good ones anyways).  Don't know about other brigades, but 32 Brigade puts out the summer tasking brique around the end of February begining of March, and the better taskings (ie long ones, opfor for DHTC/PSTC,) get snapped up pretty quick.
