Too tight of a timeline for May officer selection?

Ok, so I have an interview and medical on March 29th. I have not yet scheduled my PT test. In Calgary the PT tests are outsourced, so I need to phone the folks up and see when I can get one done. Although, I don‘t want to do it until probably midway through April. I am applying for officer and considering the next selection board is being held sometime in May (beginning, middle, or end the CFRC didn‘t know) the timeline is looking a bit tight.

I have two questions about the above:

2. How long do the results from the PT test usually take to get from the outsourced testers to the CFRC? (Or is it just a form that they sign and you take it back yourself?)

1. Do you feel that--if all goes well with the medical and PT and my security check is in--it is reasonable to expect to get in for the May selection board?

Of course, I can ask the CFRC these questions but the answers will be the usual generic responses. It would be helpful if experience provides some insight.

Thanks very much.

At the end of the physical test, you should be able to obtain a copy of the results to take to the CFRC yourself. They will keep the original. You can also ask them to send it in for you...but if I were you, I would take it in myself...otherwise, who knows if it would be lost somewhere along the way.

If you are doing your PT in mid April, that is cutting it a little tight if the board is meeting at the beginning of May. They should still be able to send your file in to Borden in time, I guess. And yes, you should be able to get in for the May selection board.

OF course that is if your file doesn‘t get mysteriously lost somewhere between your recruiting centre and Borden.

The applicant is not given a copy of the PT test. The tests are are mailed directly to the recruiting centre but if the timeline is short, it can be faxed so don‘t worry about that portion.

A month is sufficient time if there are no complications with the medical or the background check.

I‘m in much the same position Casing- have my PT & Aptitude tests on March 30- guess they‘re making me pass those before doing the Interview and Medical. It‘s a bit nerve-wracking, especially when you hear about files being lost and medicals taking time to be reviewed lol.

I‘m doing ROTP since I need 2 more years of Univ- would like to get on a course with some older folks though :)

I had my PT and interview on the same day and the CFRC told me to bring in the PT results myself since I had the PT in the morning and interview in the afternoon.

I was told that we are not to do the PT until an offer of employment is made.
Anybody else get this?
