Hello,

I applied last year to the regular forces and was turned down for medical reasons, because of kidney stones. Does that mean I will never be allowed in or can I try again? I recently went back to school, so I would like to join reserves now. Would my past rejection mean that this is impossible? Thanks for any advice you may be able to give.

Cheers

Depends. Does the condition still exist?

If you have documented proof that condition has been rectified, then there shouldn't be too much in your way.

I am not personally familiar with any differences between RegF and PRes medical requirements, but Maybe because you are applying for PRes instead of RegF, they could be less strict on that.

Best advice that I or anyone else on this forum can provide, is to go see your recruiter and ask.

There is also an online live chat available if you aren't able to speak to someone in person.

ToRN is right, if you can get a letter from your doctor stating that you no longer have that condition and that you are physically fit, you can bring it back to the CFRC and they can re-open your file (if you applied recently)

But best is to call the CFRC is to discuss your options specifically
