Update on my situation

hey folks,


some of you may rememeber my previous posts about my recruitment situation.


so right now i've been waiting the better part of 1 month now... since last calling the barrie recruitment centre about an update on my file.

at the time they said it was being looked at, and I would be getting a call on or around the 17th (of august) to finally book my PT test -- PT test is the only left for me, as everything else is done physical/med etc --

So I waited for them to call me ... as I start school very soon (now sept 7th) I NEED to get my PT testing done before that.... since I will have zero free time during the week to travel to Barrie (2 1/2 hours away).

Anywho, I called Sgt. Braida again today in barrie ... helpfull guy, he said the file is sitting in toronto and hasnt appeared to have moved or been touched since I last called    >

I left it with him and he will call me back hopefully today, if not after I take my lunch I'll give him a ring.... so maybe you people can tell me why is it SO hard to book a PT test ???

Everything else has gone through fine, I did wait for my med file but that has since cleared... if I dont get my this done in the next week I will be waiting until christmas wont i?

I have heard of people completing their PT test at the local armoury if travel to the closest CFRC proved to be too inconvenient. Perhaps you could arrange something similar.

Well you'd think that would be a good idea...

I mentioned the time constraints etc to the recruiting officer, and even the fact that I live on the fringe (just about 3 hours) from the closest recruiting centre... and that I am 30 minutes from the local armoury..... but no luck there.

He's got me calling him back on Tuesday (first day of school no less) to see what he has come up with via Toronto.

Im gonna wait till sept 15th to give them a call as i was informed that the 2 dates were the 15th and the 25th were the official job release dates.

keep at it, only a couple more days left ;D

Everything for me was set up at the local armory 15 min away. Course i ran into problems and have to wait 2 years, but thats another story, in another topic

keep at it, I submitted my paperwork for the PRes and had everything done by late Feb only to get paperwork back from Borden in Mid June saying that they need more info. SO I resent the info in midJuly, and here I am still waiting. With my luck I'm going to have to redo my pt test (not such a bad thing) but a further block if and when Borden decides to send my file back.
