What have we become

Part deux
In the latest issue of Maple leaf it talks about stress factors and recognition and what can be done which is all very well and good. But like other afflictions unless someone WANTS to be helped the recognition of signs and symptoms are just not going to cut it. As much as you know your buddy‘s hurting if he doesn‘t want help it ain‘t going to happen. One then attempts psyche approachs and unless they work it is for naught. We‘re all tougher than we think we are but we‘re never as tough as we want to be. The unfortunate thing about the military is that it brainwashes people into thinking that they can cope with everything alone. It perpetuates the myth that asking for help is a sign of weaknes. well that‘s all BS. Been there , done that. Still alive, don‘t know why.
