My phone just rang and the caller ID was a number I was all too familiar with, the recruitment center booking and testing clerk! I am merit listed for almost year now, my heart was racing! This is it! I made it! "Hi this is corporal so-and-so"

"ack, he-hello?" -phone cuts out

"he**o th** is corpor** so-and-so" -cuts out again

"hi there! Hello?"

"sorry I believe I have the wrong number" -click-

(I call back)
"hello there, I think there is some mistake, I am an applicant for the forces! my name is Wil Pearson! You have the right number!"

"no sorry, just a mistake"

".....thank you, bye...." -click-




AAAAAAAGGHH! So close I could taste it!!! Back to waiting mode...

Merit listed for 2 years? Its to my understanding once getting on the merit list you're only on it for 1 year untill you have to redo your interview etc... (As well medical and everything is usually only good for a year)

Either way keep your head up!! Next one will be for you.
