Trump administration 2024-2028

I mean, I knew this was coming, but I wonder if the MAGA base will be as not-surprised as I am, or if they even care at all.

Probably not. Despite "illegal immigrants" being one of the #1 issues, they'll take whatever bullshit spin Trump puts on it and swallow it whole.

Mar a Lago staffing problems?

It’s a good thing they didn’t give her the GI Joe style Kung Fu Grip, or people might start to mock her.

We’re going to see more whittling of the tariffs like this and specific industrial or commercial sectors get through to the administration about how thoroughly they were going to get destroyed. Consumer electronics were completely screwed.

There will be others. Trump’s mouth has been writing checks his country’s economy economy can’t cash.

I wonder how much talk of cross-border consumer good smuggling had a role in this decision too? Could you imagine if TV's and iPhones were being sold in Canada for a lot less than in the US, how many Americans would be coming up here to buy stuff to sell out of the back of a truck down south? It would be a small boom for our economy!

It wasn't something I was thinking about until I heard David Frum mention it in a podcast yesterday.
