What's your definition of a little bit ?
Google says:
It was 30 to 40 nautical miles outside the 200-nautical-mile Total Exclusion Zone (TEZ) declared by the UK. And sailing away from the TEZ.
Hence the controversy.

If the air war continues for a few weeks, the US has to wonder if China attempts to dip a toe or two towards Taiwan. The war stocks will begin to run down, air crews will begin to tire, centralizing so many assets out of their 'normal' patrol zones will begin to be noticed.Sri Lanka has a 12nm territorial waters, but the sinking was well within their EEZ . This is a 40nm radius from Galle, so she was sunk somewhere in that area. Hard to tell with open source what her intentions where. Whether to attack Diego Garcia or to head home? According to Wiki, the class can carry 4x Noor Anti-ship missiles with a range up to 200km.

Not really. Your frame implies a concern for the desires of the homeowner. The CoA I outlined is just another country deciding not to put up with any more shit.yes i burned down your house but now you can do the kitchen renovation you've always been talking about
China political circle is in disarray right now and with the death/disappearance of a top general, they might be reluctant to arm them right now/If the air war continues for a few weeks, the US has to wonder if China attempts to dip a toe or two towards Taiwan. Same with the drug runners from the Caribbean and the WC, have to wonder if they'll be able to run in some more drugs during this time period when maybe not so many eyes are looking for them.
So your thoughts on all those COIN era strike video feeds from predator, apache, and AC-130 gunship is that all those were dishonourable? And would you argue snipers should fire warning shots before engaging a target?Same thing for soldiers on land, surrender or die is not a requirement but it is a honourable thing to offer.
If that is your argument, go with it. Don't pretend warships are due some imaginary special privilege under LOAC.At this point considering the US and Israel are already violating international law ...
Depends. Which of the culled were involved with all those prior failures of foreign policy?Doesn't help if the State Dept (and equivalents in other governments) are treated as optional niceties. Didn't Rubio cull a whole bunch?
Topple the regime enough times, and one of them probably will be.Problem is - what does that rebuild look like? Topple the current regime (still a maybe...?) and what will rise in its place? Will it be better?
You can't be serious. Look at all the pages and pages of discussion about helping with regime change in Libya and then walking away from it.Sure. I think the issue here is this medicine would taste better to some if it had been administered by Biden or Obama.
Total Exclusion Zone. What's your definition of a little bit ?

Financing terrorists and other belligerent factions is provocation. At this point considering the US and Israel are already violating international law (attacking a sovereign nation without provocation)
Neutrals - or those wishing to be so - should intern all foreign belligerents in the claimed territory and waters of the neutrals. If they can't or won't, the belligerent forces generally may be attacked.Sri Lanka has a 12nm territorial waters, but the sinking was well within their EEZ .
Even if the US didn't lift a finger in direct combat, China would be short of oil for a lot longer than it currently has to look forward to.If the air war continues for a few weeks, the US has to wonder if China attempts to dip a toe or two towards Taiwan. The war stocks will begin to run down, air crews will begin to tire, centralizing so many assets out of their 'normal' patrol zones will begin to be noticed.
Diplomats, here as well as in the US, have no problem complaining when their noses are out of joint because the politicians upend their (diplomats') cozy little ordered world. Since so much of their dissatisfaction makes the news, I suppose the administration knows full well who is useful and who is obstructionist.I'm really curious what it is you think diplomats do cause I don't think you understand who actually makes foreign policy.
If thats the case the US should be bombed into the ground as well. Kinda hard for the US to stand on the high ground when they are guilty of the same if not more.Financing terrorists and other belligerent factions is provocation.
IF the head of the Iranian government is a legit target then so is POTUS to them.Total Exclusion Zone.
All the nonsense about whether Iranian armed forces may be attacked should just go away.
Provocation is cause, not requirement. If thats the case the US should be bombed into the ground as well. Kinda hard for the US to stand on the high ground when they are guilty of the same if not more.
POTUS has been a legit target for a long time, both to domestic and international actors.IF the head of the Iranian government is a legit target then so is POTUS to them.
And FWIW I agree with you.
Pretty much everyone involved in a war effort is a legitimate target.IF the head of the Iranian government is a legit target then so is POTUS to them.
And FWIW I agree with you.
