Iran Super Thread- Merged

Meanwhile at the FCC.

Not quite the Russian method of arresting and charging people for calling it a war, but it's definitely getting up there.

March 14 (Reuters) - U.S. Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr on Saturday renewed his criticism and threats against broadcasters over their content, but this time with President Donald Trump's criticism of Iran ‌war reporting as the backdrop.

Broadcasters who air "fake news" must "correct course before their license renewals come up," Carr posted on X, in remarks accompanied by a screenshot of Trump's Truth Social post earlier in the day accusing the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and "other lowlife 'papers' and media" of "terrible reporting" on the U.S. and Israel's war with Iran.

"Broadcasters must operate in the public interest, and they will lose their licenses if they do not," Carr wrote.

Nobody will nuke Iran without some sort of catastrophic attack (scale way beyond 9/11 or October 7), attributable to Iran, in either Israel, the US, a Gulf State or more likely Europe. Actual or false flag it won’t matter.

Maybe you shouldn’t have pissed off all your traditional allies.

So now the US is calling on others to help them with this. I’ll be curious to see how this plays out.

Sounds like he bit off more than he can chew and wants the allies to bail him out.

That tracks.

I’m pretty sure they just can’t yank an 8000 ton floating computer out of dry dock and send it into near certain combat, without making sure things are working and that in fact the entire crew is aboard and ready to win.
Fully agree but to not have a single vessel ready to sail? Someone should be laying their head on a block for that one up to and including the minister.

Nailed it...

"Anyone who has ever worked on a school project with someone who had to present on something they did zero work on, knows exactly who this guy is."

Britain is gone and it’s not coming back anytime soon, if ever. At least this war has clarified that image in full HD.

That’s an utterly limp-dick threat that would fail in court on First Amendment grounds if acted upon. Carr needs to huff fewer farts.

Meanwhile, in BC ...

Two charged with murder after body of B.C. man who sued late Shah’s son found

SURREY — A British Columbia mathematician who was reported missing last month by concerned neighbours was allegedly killed in a “targeted” incident by two people known to him who now face murder charges, police say.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, which is comprised of officers from the RCMP and a number of municipal police forces, said Saturday that the body of Masood Masjoody was found in Mission, B.C., on March 6 and two people have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Masjoody was a former PhD student and math instructor at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby B.C., and he was declared a “vexatious litigant” by the B.C. Court of Appeal last year.

He filed several lawsuits that have accused academics, legal figures and journalists of defamation, including Reza Pahlavi, the son of the last Shah of Iran.

Hamas now calling out the IRGC for attacking their "Muslim brothers" I guess they see that Qatar is likely to be a bigger benefactors in the future than the IRGC.

I admire your optimism that the USSC would not endorse the infallibility of POTUS and the legal obligation of the US media to report thereon.
