Orban had both Washington and Moscow backing him? That's the weirdest timeline. When the US and Russia agree on something, you know you're on the wrong side. Good for Hungary. Good for democracy.

It is both America's and Russia's interests to keep the EU internally fractured. It keeps Europe dependant on America for protection from Russia and China, and keeps Russia safe from further EU influence on its borders.

A unified Europe could be the next superpower if it wanted to be.
