A interesting look into Belarus internal issues

They've been delicately back and forth between "gotta show USSR 2.0 we're our own country" and "yes, Comrade Putin, happy to help." Can't blame them for being at least ... cautious with their pendulum.I am not entirely convinced that Belarus is beginning to actually play nice. I am highly suspicious of their motivations. Though, I will concede that Lukashenko is astute enough to realize his people hate him, Poland is looking for an excuse to kick their ass, and his military is not in the greatest shape.
Our neighbours directly across the street from us used to go to Belarus for 2 weeks every summer before the Russo-Ukkie War. He belonged to some group that did volunteer work here in the Chernobyl fallout zone. The group used to bring young Belarus kids here for the summer as well to experience a ‘normal’ summer among foster families.Interestingly enough there was a Belorussian AAA Hockey team in Niagara Falls Canada last week. Notably surprised as they are still banned from competitions down here.

"Playing nice" might have a different definition for him. I think with Russia on a back foot, re the war and real possibility that Putin might get "retired". He does not want to go down with that particular ship.I am not entirely convinced that Belarus is beginning to actually play nice. I am highly suspicious of their motivations. Ouch .USSR 2.0 troop deserts, makes it to the U.S., gets deported back to Putin Land, escapes into Belarus.
