Its all been previously announced in various briefing decks. A few more Svc Bns, a potential light engineer squadron and at least 4 more signal sqn/regts. Nothing earth shattering.

I was proud when I found the CCAs social media team edit points for the c25. @PrairieFella you can set up D365 on your civilian phone, just takes a bit of work but you'll have SharePoint access on it that way.

I know - I just avoid it. Im a Class A reservist, seems like a way to add a vulnerability to the system with little benefit to the CAF or my work. I lurk on my evening and weekends

I am a cheap ass who has a 5 yr old phone and Teams doesn't work properly. This has proven to be a blessing in disguise. Since now nobody can reach me unless they call or text. I am not installing teams on my next phone either. LOL.

The RCAF is basically replacing everything but non-transport fleets and scaling the space side of the house over 10x. Most of that in less than 10 years. And all of that in 15 years. We're getting capabilities we've never had. From AEW, to attack helos, to space surveillance to sigint to MALE drones. Imagine how many OTUs and basic schools have to run to make this happen. I would probably quit if I got a posting message to 2 CAD. They have to have the worst jobs in the air force right now.

I mean numbered vs sequential. Ie 1 vs 1st. It should ge 31st, 32nd, 33rd ect CBG.

Werent they taken from the numbered Reserve brigades during WW2? It was a very on the nose point made by the Reg Force and where they saw the PRes as belonging.

Does RCAF have plans to grow pilot training capacity? Fleets are growing (in number of fleets and size) but there's been no discussion I'm aware of to grow pilot training capacity (or to streamline and reduce pilot training time by acknowledging that rotary and fixed wing are different).

There were various numbering schemes for Militia brigades pre 1942 but in that year they were renumbered from 31st (Reserve) Brigade Group to 42nd (Reserve) Brigade Groups inclusive. These were allocated to Militia Districts as follows:

1 MD - London - 31 Bde
2 MD - Toronto - 32 Bde
3 MD - Kingston (later Ottawa) - 33 Bde
4 MD - Montreal - 34 Bde
5 MD - Quebec City - 35 Bde
6 MD - Halifax - 36 and 42 Bde
7 MD - St John - 37 Bde
8 MD - unassigned in 1942
9 MD - unassigned in 1942
10 MD - Winnipeg - 38 Bde
11 MD - Victoria - 39 Bde
12 MD - Regina - 40 Bde
13 MD - Calgary - 41 Bde

Note that with the exception of 40 and 42 (Reserve) Bde Gp - which no longer exist - that the remaining ten brigades roughly correspond to the current CBG headquarters locations.

In 1946 with the post-war reorganization these brigade numbers ceased to exist and were replaced by the 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19 (Reserve) Infantry Bdes and the 1 and 3 (Reserve) Cavalry Bdes.

There were several other title changes until the current ten brigade group titles were established in 1997.

Big Army piece on tomorrow's TOCA. Odd thing for me - why is the Arty Bde headquartered in Edmonton when Shilo or Gagetown are probably better suited? I guess proximity isnt really needed in the 21st century.
