Does a DEO help you progress faster ?

If you went to the links provided it gave the exact answer but I've grabbed a screenshot Coming in as an NWO with education (DEO) your first contract will be for 8 years.

    Re-Enrollment, Regretted quitting BMQ.

Things have changed. CFRC does nothing with PRes files now. It's all on the Unit (or Bde) Recruiter to process the file from start to finish and it's an officer at the unit that will do the final enrolment.

    Re-Enrollment, Regretted quitting BMQ.

I got the information from a CFRG Work Instruction on Waivers - so if it's no longer the CFRG CO as the approving authority for the waiver then the WI's haven't been updated (which is a possibility).

Level iii security clearance with family in Hong Kong

Really this boils down to your personal decision and no one can tell you what you should (or shouldn't) do which is probably why no one has responded. For Level II and Level III clearances they need information on your immediate family, whether you've spent time outside of Canada, etc etc etc...

    Looking for advice

From what I'm getting PMed Tech's will be given the chance to CFR just like Med Tech to PA. I only have two PMed Tech's on my PRes Training List; but I'm watching the situation very closely as the Training Coordinator :-)

Multiple application re-starts, new portals, positions closed... am I getting the run around?

Honestly your best bet it to goto a CFRC and actually talk in person with a recruiter to find out what occupations are open. The CAF has over 100 different occupations and yes they are ALWAYS recruiting, and that is the messaging. But it seems like you're throwing darts at a dart board with a...

Getting Back in from Previously Released

Each TA (Training Authority) is in charge of their own PLARs... off the top of my head there's the RCN, Army (CTC), RCAF, CDA, CFSTG, H Svcs, CJOC, Int Gp, MP Gp - at one point in time there was a 30 day (business day) turnaround that was a benchmark to try to adhere to, but that was dropped...

    Re-Enrollment, Regretted quitting BMQ.

Good Day, There is an official policy that prohibits someone from rejoining after a VR, so the information on 6 months / 1 year is correct - although this is the first I've ever heard of someone having to write a paper "to Ottawa" to be able to re-enrol. If a member wishes to re-enroll prior...

    Armoured Officer Reserve Courses

Quick follow up for the CAFJODS, CAFJODs are actually 7 modules: Mod 1 (1.5 days); Mod 2 (3 days); Mod 3 was replaced by MJUL (1 day); Mod 4 (1.5 days); Mod 5 (2 days); Mod 6 (2 days); Mod 7 (2 days) for a total of 13 days. Other than Mods 5 & 7 they can be done as a 2Lt or A/SLt, mods 5 & 7 are...

    Timeline question

Good Day, First off, yes recruiting files for the RegF and the PRes are treated differently. Although there are CFRC's across the country, they all fall under CFRG HQ which has a centrally managed list of all RegF applicants. The Reserves are "in charge" of their own recruiting and CFRG HQ...

    Applicant status closed

If it's been more than 5 business days I'd personally reach out to the CFRC and inform them that you've not gotten your official letter. Ultimately you don't know your next steps until you receive that letter.

Questions About Commissioning from the ranks

Honestly you should speak with a BPSO, I'm not a BPSO so my take on the policy is unofficial (official answer would be a BPSO). The way I read that policy is that the remaining time is 6 years (VIE for AERE). The mention of 3 years post OFP is so that the mbr doesn't try to VOT as soon as...

    Traffic Ticket

"Legal Obligations" are not just criminal charges - this could be as complex as a DUI, or something as simple as you being a witness to a crime where you're going to be called as a witness at trial. With the failing to yield ticket, if you're going to fight it, you'll need to find out if you...

    Reserves to regular force

Ultimately it's up to you - you might wait to apply and not even get accepted into the Regular Force; meanwhile you could have been doing your training with the Reserves through the fall/spring and then do your occupation course next summer. But on the flip side you might not get into a reserve...

Benefits for Army Class A Reserve Officers

Depends on the base, in Borden a Class B Reservist with a family is put ahead of a Regular Force member without a family - not sure about other bases or if Borden even still does it that way but in 2012 when I got my PMQ in Borden that's how they were doing it...but it was long term (i.e. 3...
