I can see I read the chart wrong but I still maintain that we have more then 1% of the population that have served in the military and if you look at male population(which is where most veterans come from) it is even higher still.

Not comparing just mentioning whether US or Canada there is alot more % of veterans in our population then some people seem to believe

There is alot more veterans then some people think. I always hear only 1% of the population is willing to serve but that is very untrue. We all serve in the military at different times of our lives but I find quite alot of people have served one time or another in the canadian armed forces

Just finished jack murphy’s book murphy’s Law It’s about a guy who went from ranger regiment to the green beret to now being a journalist for sofrep.

Like a lot of people on here I know a few soldiers that came back from Afghanistan with PTSD. I got into a conversation with a family member who said the people who suffer the most are not the soldiers but the civilians in these conflicts. She said the soldiers have guns to protect themselves...

Just got back from seeing this. It was very well done. Was cool how they figure out one of the speeches the officer gave his troops the day before the Somme.

I was disappointed  with the movie after reading the title I thought it was going to be about the struggles of the road and what soldiers went through when he was there I get it, there was a story about Afghanistan he wanted to tell. It just I was hoping for something different

Deck you guys  were allowed to skip breakfast? When I did my SQ course 13 years ago we were told it was a chargeable offensive to miss a meal.
