    Skydiver Injured at Calgary Stampede

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/story/2013/07/07/calgary-stampede-parachuter-injured.html The usual terrible CBC reporting doesn't specifically say, but it sounds like injured is a SkyHawk. Let's hope for a speedy and full recovery.

    Army DEU Parka

So I just logged on to Logistik Unicorp because I figured it was about time to order my fur hat when I saw that an army DEU parka is being fielded.  I thought this would be great and it would eliminate how terrible it looks when army members are out and about sporting their CADPAT jacket with...

    DUI/impaired driving in CF (merged)

If you are referring to a 24 roadside suspension for exceeding a provincial legal alcohol limit (Blood alcohol over 40 mg% or 50 mg% depending on the province), in most provinces, there is likely no offence committed or charge, but an administative driver's license suspension would be issued. ...

Member of Ceremonial Guard Wounded by Bayonet

I hope the member has a speedy recovery.  Good on the other members and the medics on scene.  It sounds like they saved his life.  :salute:

    Occupational Transfer to MP

To answer your question, X-mo, for any remusters to MP, whether from regular force or reserve, the educational requirement is: - two full credit college/university courses that relate to policing, or - a two year law/security diploma I recently OT'ed to MP from another trade with 2 and a half...

    Powers of arrest conflict??

I know a number of municipal police members who are reserve MP.  I don't see any reason since the change of the QR&O's why an RCMP couldn't become unbadged, reserve MP.  I would like to hear what comes from the CFPM on this issue and what justification is behind it.

    EME Slip Ons?

The soldiers that I saw wearing the stripe were Reg F EME candidates and were well in their 20's.  To me, it looks like this is just something that carries on the history of the apprentice.

    EME Slip Ons?

So I found out today that the 2LT's that I thought I had been saluting for the past two weeks have actually been unqualified Ptes.  This morning, I was walking down the sidewalk in Borden near PRETC and I saw someone walking toward me wearing an EME capbadge.  As he got closer, I saw a single...

'CPR Glove' invented by Ontario students sets investors' hearts racing

If this is to be used as a training tool to teach people how to properly perform CPR, it seems kind of redundant.  Measuring the depth of compressions is something that many CPR training dummies already do.  I know that a number of the mannequins that I have used make a clicking sound if the...

    Krispy Kreme or Tim Hortons?

This thread should be locked for even questioning Timmies!  I'll always be loyal/addicted to my Tim Hortons.  :salute:

    Military Police Assessment Centre (MPAC)

Agill, from what I understand, what goes on in the MPAC is supposed to be kept hush hush by the candidates.  If there is anything that I am allowed to talk about, then for sure I'd be happy to let you know what goes on, but I think they you quiet about it. I'm applying for an NCM trade, so I...

    Military Police Assessment Centre (MPAC)

Earlier yet!  I'll be paying Borden a visit on 26 Feb 07.  Serial 1 starts on 27 Feb and Serial 2 is on 03 Mar.  Exciting!  :D
