Where I come from, being respectful is the baseline for communication. If people are disrespectful, they aren't taken seriously. This sort of behaviour, ignored or supported by the firearms community at large, just makes the gun grabbers jobs easier.

Nobody would want to support people who act like "don't tread on me." There was a moral high ground that is usually had when a civil war happens, case in point, the American Revolution. They were increadibly charismatic gentleman, not people who piss on pieces of paper.

There is no such thing as compromise on this file. It's only ever increasing restrictions. Their isn't one restrictions that has ever been walked back under a Liberal Govt with respect to gun laws in this Country. Mass non-compliance and civil disobedience is the best method of getting Govt to walk back any sort of anarcho-tyrannical laws they may feel like introducing from time to time.

I say that because we have ample examples to draw from and it's a proven method:

If people hand thousands of dollars worth of firearms in and they get screwed over and receive $0 (on top of the negligible amount their firearm accessories will now be worth) I can see things getting worse for Liberal politicians, and especially anyone with fingerprints on the gun-ban pot.

I think if Liberal politicians start getting assaulted and messed with by gun owners who lost thousands or tens of thousands of dollars they're going to start caring (and crying).

Will Liberals draw some sort of moral victory like "see gun owners are violent after all"? 100%.
Will that help someone sleep at night if some gun owner out thousands of dollars wants revenge? Maybe not.

Considering Liberal party staff members populated fake Trump buttons on purpose at a conservative convention the chances that his picture was placed there by someone wanting gun owners to look bad are decent IMO.

And there it is. Gun owners always knew this had nothing to do with public safety. It's always been nothing but a back door registry as a prelude to total firearms confiscation. A purely political strategy that ignores criminals and impinges on law abiding owners. A registry that, like those previous, will never be totally destroyed. The liberals have used this ploy before and it totally failed. The previous registry, that was ordered destroyed, still exists. Bottom line, no matter what they say, what they promise, however they spin it, this liberal government can't be trusted. That's just the truth of it. No fragile ego, no intent to piss people off that self identify as liberals. If you vote liberal and liberals are intent on stealing your private property or making you a criminal, well, that's your choice isn't it. Nothing to do with me.

More proof the Minister doesn't know what he's talking about. He was reading his speech, produced by someone else, that contained the word 'Ruger.' He went on to pronounce it as 'rugger' evertime he saw the word Ruger. Considering the rifle that started all this at Poly, all those decades ago, was a Ruger Mini 14, you'd think he would know how to pronounce it.

But the whole thing is a political ploy. No need to know any technical details of the file.

My comment was made as tongue in cheek. I'm sorry if you took offence. I know my detractors will call bullshit and sharpen their sticks, but there it is.

I have no loyalty or attachment to any government whose goal is to turn our country into a post national, hybrid marxist globalist society. To me, they are the enemy to our way of life.
