The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

I can't remember when we received C7s. I arrived in Germany in 1986, and we may have got them during my posting. At least mag pouches existed by then. I don't remember the gate guards wearing webbing in the boxes. I do remember that our CO (Ray Henault) had our sentries exchange their rifles...

The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

A tin box with drop-down upper panels at each gate, one soldier with a C1 therein, and a single magazine containing ten rounds in his pocket for super-instantaneous-lightning response.

Government hints at boosting Canada’s military spending

Yes - everybody should follow the basic rules. I have little faith that that would actually result in an improvement, though, as humans are involved.

Well, that's sad. We have less leverage already. See, ytz?

Government hints at boosting Canada’s military spending

We do NOT live in a "democracy". We live in a Constitutional Monarchy. Each level of government has its distinct powers, responsibilities, and limitations. The federal government should NOT be overstepping its powers, responsibilities, and limitations by interfering with provincial/territorial...

I understand that you tend to dismiss, with cheap cliches, the considerable experience and wisdom of those with a few more years on the planet than you, for one. All of the rules and regulations in existence already take up more than enough paper and electrons, writing and amending them takes...

For garrison wear - a wide elastic headband in the appropriate service dress colour with the pouch on the right-hand side and a cap badge above the left eye?

Government hints at boosting Canada’s military spending

There have been trade disputes over several things, despite NAFTA/USMCA, already, over a long period - softwood lumber, seemingly constant and possibly still ongoing, for one. Steel is another point of contention, as we import from China and the previous and next administration did not/will not...

Yes, "child", those who have been doing something - probably better than you ever will - for many years, often in actual combat conditions, without killing the wrong people, and surviving. But why bother maintaining any standards at all?

Government hints at boosting Canada’s military spending

No direct threat? A lot of people will moan and sob and probably even howl should the US impose trade sanctions upon us, or just start buying elsewhere, and start costing jobs. The US does not have to buy thousands of LAVs/Strykers from GD in London (or send them back for major upgrades), for one.

That should be fine, as long as the sunglasses were completely concealed under your beret. Otherwise, somebody one rank or more above you will probably comment unfavourably. Pockets are not just for hands, and most uniforms have a selection from which to choose.

If a QRA facility is struck with aircraft and crews in it, it's incentive for the next crews up to be a bit Qer.

Keep checking your bank accounts. You'll know that company is coming soon after they're frozen. And make sure that your drapes are flame-retardant, because flash-bangs.
