I would have never thought the Swiss would do this (not going to add my personal opinion); When I was there I got the impression they are more Political Correct then us.

I also had one of those done up, and had it on my IFAK.  I know people that had them on there Frag vests etc. Yes, but not everyone I worked with had them around their necks (on a belt loop, boot, etc).

Ok when you swab COMBAT kit for GSR and explosive traces what are you?

Well I was on the road almost daily, and we only had infantry with us for ops, or when we were escorting them. 

I still think that the CBSA agents are told that CF members are terrorists.  I bet I would have a way easier time getting in if I said I was going to blow up something.  they also preceded to swab my combat kit for traces of explosives  ::) I was on a CF flight, with about 100 other guys in...

Well this one is definitely the best. This took place while going through Canada Customs on my way home from Afghanistan (I was wearing my uniform, with 3 Canada flags on it, and carrying my green passport) I am bout the middle of the line, and get to the counter, hand the agent my passport...

Well I would have replied sooner if I seen this, but from the sandy wireless internet cafe I was using, the site was ultra slow  ::).  I'm from just outside town  ;D.

For the past 6 and a half months I have been wearing the old desert socks, and I think I will continue to wear them. 

I don't think these guys were spec ops or CP (one was a tanker).

I'll be wearing a blue AF sweater (or a sungleypac jacket depending on how cold it is), and a AR cadpat support our troops baseball cap or black toque. I will more then likely be in the line, or sitting around at a table using my IPOD for the internet.

Does anyone know if the CF has a mollie armor carrier in the system?  I seen a few of the new guys with them; the carrier was made form the same company as the armor.

Erowing, how does 2000hrs on the 22 work for you?  anyone else up for one then?

The rain gear issued in theater is the exact same as the new one home (except in AR).  My TW rain gear is sitting in KAF, and has been since April  ::)  It was a waste of space like many other items (green Tac Vest). The MOB is overweight (by Air Canada standards) empty, but it does a good job...

Canada Customs didn't harass you more with the green passport? I used mine returning from an ex in the states, and they decided to be even bigger dicks then usual. Maybe it was the fact that we were on a military charter, in uniform, and had our ID's tucked into the passports  ::)
