Try posting this question in the "recruiting process" forum. A guy there, kincanuncks, could probably help you out as he knows all of the dates for everything.
I did the hut twice as well. The first time (reserves) we walked in without the masks on and the second time (reg force), we walked in with our masks on. I don`t know if they changed the training between the two times i`ve done it or maybe the Newfies like to train their reservists to be more...
I doubt little billy peters would know the answer...
But seriously, I would take the list of ex-commandants (i.e. in your agenda) and then google all of them to see who is the oldest living. They`re all generals so I would assume they would all have biographies on them somewhere on the net.
Yes and its only TEAR GAS. I did the EXACT same thing in the reserves 6 years ago. We went into the hut without our masks on and started to do PT to get sweaty cause the gas reacts with moisture on the skin. Its NOT going to kill you its only CS gas. I don`t understand how people think this is...
When I joined up I also put pilot as my number 1 choice along with 5 other trades on my list. They called me up and offered me Air Operations and it took me 2 years after I was in before I went to aircrew selection. A long time I know, but worth it now...
All I`m saying is that you will...
Would he have had to go to RMC? Cause if its only the oldest living ex-commandant then maybe he doesn`t have a college number. Or are you talking about the oldest living ex-commandant who is also an ex-cadet?

But really, if you want to join the Canadian Forces read and...
After doing 16 of these with another one coming up soon I can definitely say that they are NOT interesting. They say that if you can do 2.4km in under 12mins then you should have no problem in obtaining the minimum for the beep test (aka, 20 metre shuttle run)
THERE ARE NO CHINUPS ON THE CFEXPRES TEST. I don`t know why people keep thinking this. The standard for the "Final PT test" is the same as all of the other pt tests: 19 pushups, 19 situps, 6 or 6.5 on the beep test, and a grip test. NO CHINUPS
NO, BMQ does expose you to chemical weapons. You do gas hut training where you are exposed to tear gas without a mask but thats about it. The US is a different country than Canada. Do they do the same training as soldiers in the former USSR. NO, and we don't do training like the US Marines. I...
During the 4 years at RMC you do get quite a bit of time off. In first year not so much, but as you climb through the heirarchy you do get more time off. And its important to escape the "pennisula" every now and then cause the place will drive you crazy. When you don't have free weekends they...
To go into detail on every experience offered at RMC would make this post WAY too long to read. All I can say is that its hell going through it but once the fours years are over and your at your unit, being a ring knocker makes a world of difference. First year has its ups and downs but once you...
