Another way to find your UIC is to look at the Clothe (Tease) the Soldier entitlement list found here http://www.army.gc.ca/Chief_Land_Staff/Clothe_the_soldier/hab/WORD/CTS_Allocation_b.doc
Basically, just search for the unit name and the UIC should appear.
Well there's geomatics. This field has many civilian applications. I believe 3FES in Ottawa is the only Reserve unit tasked to do this at this time. Not sure about Regs.
How would the wheelers/CP one fit onto a fixed stock C7?
Also, are the issued patrol slings w/ paracord made anywhere else? I can't seem to find them anywhere (the types w/ the paracord loop at front and back).
Same thing...tactically misplaced (or stolen) field cap. Lost in October, submited LKR in December, supposedly receiving new one this Tuesday.
1) Just keep bugging your CoC for it or go to the OR and see if they have it. I don't think it's online.
2) The reasoning for the form is so that...
I've heard rummours of this "rule" as well as the one where WWB are NOT for parade, only for the field.
Neither of them have been actually mentioned down the CoC and not enforced @ my unit.
LOL...i should rephrase. Reading my own post I'm getting confused.
The RegF engineers call upon their reserve counterparts more often because there is statisically less of them compared to infanteers in both reg and PRes. So if a certain Roto needed x amount of 031s and x amount of 043s, there...
I believe the reason for this is that we're less common than R031s. From what I heard from my sect cdr was that there's a shortage of engrs in the reg force so they call more heavily on the reserves than infanteers do because of our fewer numbers.
I also second the long term wear contacts. I only use mine overnight on exercises but they're good when you don't wanna bother w/ glasses. My eyes get really dry sometimes so I suggest always bringing a bottle of eye drops.
The new issued combat glasses look like your classic oakley wrap...
Just about every PAM under the sun (not classified) can be found on the Army Electronic Library (AEL).

Do they get issued all the IECS stuff for basic now? (fleece, poly pro, etc?) I know when I did mine I got ALL the old stuff so he mite hafta use the old cotton long johns (which soak up sweat like no tommorow).
I was taught there were 3
Battle Order (webbing minus buttpack)
Fighting Order (webbing w/ buttpack)
Marching Order (above + ruck)
Travel Order (above + duffel)
That being said, I've never used battle order.
