Scored these off of ebay last night

Curious to see them all, always find it odd when people sell stuff like this off. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250811912587&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

    Boot Help!: Orange Texture

LOL, Wow! I thought the admin was a little hard on you in the other thread when they warned you about the contents of your posts on here. But after this one, I'm starting to wonder.

Parachutist wings from cadets on my PRes or RegF uniform

This is a pretty valid point here. Also something for your consideration is that if you remain an air cadet, then remuster later as a senior cadet into an army cadet corps hoping to get on the the basic para course, you'll most likely find a serious level of angst directed towards you from...

Berets for Air and Sea cadets?

When I was on Wilderness Leadership in Petawawa many moons ago, I would have traded my beret for a boonie hat any day. The practicality of wearing a beret in dead of summer in the sun all day isn't beneficial to anyone, trust me. BTW, not sure how you expect to get your jump wings if you're an...

    Combats in camp

Ummm yeah, laundry will happen, no worries there. My advice is to grab these before you go, everything you need for you combat boots..

    Cadet long service medal

This one is mine, court mounted.

    Civilian Instructor/Volunteer dress for training.

I've noticed that CP Gear will make anything you want custom for very little money. Really might be worth it to have them embroider something that clearly says Civilian Instructor or Volunteer or whatever on it, whether it be a flash, slip-on , brassard, velcro badge, etc depending what you're...

Researching info about a family member...

Thanks, I've got the ball rolling now. Cheers!

    Cadet Medals/ Cadet+Reserve Service

I have no doubt it will stay on the left side, but they were much lower on the tunic before, close to the pocket pre-medal days.

Researching info about a family member...

Trying to find the best source with respect to my grandfather, who served in the Canadian Army in WW2. I don't have his SIN, but I do have his birthday and an approximation of some of the places he was stationed. Photos don't seem to be too much help because I can't make out badges on his...

    What camps should there be?

Pretty sure one of the cadets from my Corps took that in '84 in Bordan, tried to talk me into taking it. He ended up a signal in the reg force, I think he's a Master Warrant now in Kingston, about to retire.

    Cadet FA/ Medical stuff..........

This is a great idea for a summer cadet course in my opinion. I was a member of St. John's Ambulance for nearly 3 years while I was an Army Cadet, which is how I acquired my advanced first aide qualification. This 6 weeks you describe here dwarfs any first aide training I received during my time...

    what qualifications do you have?

I was a former Army Cadet, joined when I was 12, left when I turned 19 in 1989. I was the Cadet RSM/CWO, left with Gold Star with Wreath, Advanced First Aide and Crossed Rifles & Crown Summer Training: '84 Junior Cadet, Ipperwash '85 Cadet Leader, Ipperwash '86 Wilderness Leadership, Petawawa...

    What camps should there be?

Thought I would bring this one back to life, as it's a great thread that deserves some attention in my opinion. It seems some of the posters in here attended the Wilderness Leadership course in the '80s, at CFB Petawawa. I did this course in '86, it was by far likely one of my best experiences...

Mother wants answers after pardoned sex offender becomes cadet instructor

This is an intense story, London isn't too far away from me. I think if they knowingly pushed a guy through the system back in 2003, that had this type of conviction under his belt, it's a big problem and heads should likely roll. The article stated that he didn't receive his pardon until...

    Civilian Instructor/Volunteer dress for training.

This makes sense as to why I've seen pics on the ACH website of civilian staff wearing CF issue CapPat minus the epaulet slip on in front, hence the devoid of insignia reference there in the CATO.

    Civilian Instructor/Volunteer dress for training.

So this is an either or thing? Both can be worn?

    Civilian Instructor/Volunteer dress for training.

I've looked high and low in this forum to see if this has already been discussed here. My basic question is what is suitable for CIs or CVs to wear during field training with the corps they are involved with? ODs? CadPat? What? After browsing many of the pics on the army cadet history site, it's...

Parachutist wings from cadets on my PRes or RegF uniform

Just remuster into army cadets and perhaps you can qualify to to attend this course, there is no way any air or sea cadet would be allowed on this course.

    Cadet Medals/ Cadet+Reserve Service

Perhaps they will now drop wings back down close to the top of the breast pocket again, the way they used to be prior to cadet medals being available and worn on the left side.
