    Requesting a LOA from a non-supportive employer

I can echo the statements about CFLC, your home reserve unit has a rep or two for CFLC. Find out who they are and get the ball rolling. Also, many union organizations have military leave written into their collective agreement. It is something that is not used often enough IMHO. It may say...

What's Whited Out in Dundurn, SK???

I was just out in Sunny Dunny this morning. I have to say that I did not see any large white swipes at the location. I would surmise that it was a scan problem because there is no Secret Squirrl stuff going on unless the un-authorized tumble weeds are a new stealth program. GF

Dutch Soldiers Stress Restraint in Afghanistan

True, the original article is titled that Dutch soldiers are showing restraint but as you clearly pointed out, it is the soldiers obeying the directions of their political masters. Yes, I was one of those soldiers that joined in the late 80s early 90s. I do not believe my statements are a side...

Dutch Soldiers Stress Restraint in Afghanistan

I have had the opportunity to work with Dutch soldiers on a couple of occasions. The first time in 92. The Communicators were excellent in Sector West and more recently this past fall when I worked with a fantastic team of Dutch nurses and doctors at the Role 3 MMU at KAF. I have never worked...

    Question on Combat Engineering

Perhaps I did make it sound a bit too harsh but I think those who have gone through the school can agree that a strong grounding in HS math and science makes the calcs easier to understand, manipulate, and comprehend. GF

    Question on Combat Engineering

The huge thing in this whole post is AFTER HIGHSCHOOL! As a Combat engineer, you have to deal with fundamental physics and math including geometry, and formula manipulation. Finish your secondary education. GF
