Thanks. I am already on the headlamp as I didn't have one for Mod 2, and others did. I am just using the issued boots, and find them pretty good. Is this what you mean? I heard the Swats, bates, etc... could be trouble in the field? Please let me know your thoughts.

As I understand it, Pres officers generally do BMQ Common, which is 22 days. This is followed by BMOQ Mod 2, which is 12 days. The combination gives the BMOQ qualification . You then move to 10 weeks of BMOQ-L (CAP), followed by your trade course.

My training warrant at my reserve unit has been off, and it looks like may continue to be . Nobody is really filling his role right now, so it has been a challenge to get information. I am trying to figure out potential course dates for the summer, as my employer is trying to plan a replacement...

My BMQ (reserves) had 2 people in their 40s and 2 in their late 30s (including me). I think we had the most fun on the course. Hanging out with 19 and 20 year olds can be quite fun, if you let it be.

My unit is looking into a BOTP 2 course (the 12 day course for officers) for a few of us in the area. We were advised last night that this course also has a distance portion. From the reading I have done on here, I did not think there was a DL component. Can anyone shed any light on this issue...

Might be totally out to lunch here, but I don't think most MBAs have dissertations. They are usually 2 year programs, all coursework. There are executive MBAs for a year, and if you have a commerce or business administration degree, then that can cut a year off the regular program.

I was looking at the national calendar and saw that there is a BOTP Part 2 (reserve) under 37 Brigade Group for the fall. The dates are listed as Sept.-Dec. but indicates 10 training days. I have not gotten a response from my unit yet, but was wondering if anyone has further information on this...
