BMQ and all it's glory (question inside about edumacation)

I spent about 1.5hrs searching the site for anything related, I just got home (4:44am - Calgary, AB) from a 10hr shift at a night club (yay, drunk people!) so pardon me if I missed finding a relevant thread with my answer. Since I bombed my first year of Criminology BA degree and then blew off...

No, that's why I said looks like, and not they are. It's not a matter of their equipment being different, but rather a matter that their equipment and facilities look old.

    Question about remustering to MP

Reg Force Armoured Crewman was closed for recruiting at the CFRC... but I don't know if that means for Component Transfers (it's possible). Best bet is to go to your Unit BOR and inquire about it with your clerks (or your Career Managers if applicable).

John Gilbert "Jack" Layton, PC, MP (July 18, 1950 – August 22, 2011)

Putting all politics aside... As a Canadian, I wish him a swift recovery. Nobody deserves cancer... I know (as many do) all to well how it feels to lose your loved ones to such an arsehole of a disease. Godspeed Mr. Layton  :salute:

    Question about remustering to MP

Not if you're going to a Reserve MP platoon. Although there are very few. But it's still the same process of paperwork.

Am I weaker than a 5 year old?

Why worry about monkey bars when it's not a compulsory piece in order to maintain your service status? If you fail the EXPRES or the Battle Fitness Test, you can be released... among other things that can get you recoursed or cut from BMQ are more your worry - crossing monkey bars on the...

Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

If you passed the CFAT, they should have done your Medical screening PRIOR to your fitness test as if there is a pre existing medical condition or something that you (and/or doctor - if their referral is needed) mention that the Surgeon General and CFRG Medical personnel at NDHQ deem that you...

22 Jul 11: Explosion near Norwegian PM's office

I think all of you are missing a very important piece to the shootings: THE GUNMAN WAS DRESSED AS A POLICE OFFICER AND BECKONED FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE CAMP TO GATHER AROUND HIM SO HE COULD SPEAK TO THEM. When they approached, he opened fire, killing them. Those that were not killed immediately...

Beret badge now wearing on side?

UK military forces don't have an existing dress regulation on berets, so it's no wonder. I think the whole "further left" thing is a "look-cool factor." Because, I'll be honest, some British troops with their berets worn like that... look friggin' hardcore, hahaha. Edit: nevermind - removed my...

What will I be tested on? 2.4 KM or the Shuttle Run?

Not really... Stage 7 on the 20 MSR is more than 2.4km under 11:56min

So I had my interview yesterday..

Well, it depends on the interviewer. My file manager actually right after my CFAT pulled out a form and highlighted all the trades that I qualified for (the only thing that wasn't highlighted were medical trades and I didn't care for anything in the Officer zone). They won't give you your...

So I had my interview yesterday..

They don't distribute CFAT scores: 1) They won't help you with anything 2) They should have told you in your interview what trades you qualify for according to your CFAT performance and what areas you didn't do too well in (because very little people know that you can actually re-write your...

What will I be tested on? 2.4 KM or the Shuttle Run?

the CF EXPRES test which is the Standard for Canadian Forces personnel fitness (the one that if you fail, you can be released) operates on the 20m Shuttle run (beep test). However you should be able to run 5KM+ for route marches, Battle Fitness Test Only for the Reserve Forces do they test...

Cadets and the C7, and other rifles. Let me end the discussion once and for all

Also, I've known many a Sea Cadet unit in both large well-fundraised urban centres AND small towns have cadets sent on a week sailing on various HMC Ships and frequently. I don't know what it is, but ever Sea Cadet I talked to over my 6 years as a cadet and even to this day, do so much more than...

Cadets and the C7, and other rifles. Let me end the discussion once and for all

Cadets have the opportunity to go on Range Ex with their affiliated unit to participate on C7 familiarization when permission is granted by ACO and Region CO and the AfU CO - only open to Silver Star in-training/qualified cadets and higher. Cadets also will receive C7 familiarization (3 days of...
