    Geomatics Technician (merged)

Unfortunately the geomatics field really is an NCM trade. You could however try Engineer. Not so much for Int though. My  :2c:.

    "Saudi Clerics Advocate Adult Breast-Feeding"

Reminds me of that time when PETA wrote to Ben & Jerry`s telling them that they should make their ice cream out of breast milk, seeing as humans should not be drinking cow milk and all. http://blog.peta.org/archives/2008/10/breast_milk_hea.php Now, I'm not saying that there any similarities...

Germany retires 60% of Submarine fleet ahead of 2016 planned retirement

    Maybe AEC!!!

Depending on what stream you get... you will wait before Cornwall. ON top of that, Pascale, you might go to second language trg. That being said, best of luck to you both!

    The Gagetown Thread- Merged

George: you are rude. I don't know about your family situation, or if you have one, or what your rank is and if you have subordinates in your current job. But if you do have subordinates, and you talk to them this way when they seek clarification, or talk to their spouses that way when they are...

Armed CF18s scramble to shadow jet with bomb threat.

Let's see how the press discusses the savings when there is no intercept because of $$$ and it turns out to be a real threat! Oh, but that's right, we don't need the press's approval to conduct our activities so the intercept would take place anyway. Storm in a teacup...

Bayonets: your essential Zombie killing weapon accessory.

On the other hand, the advantage of such a vehicle is that even once your ammo is depleted, you can crush  them on your route to escape. Just ford a random river, then pop the hatch and give them the finger. Laugh.

Canadian sailors and Paris Hilton, lol....

I don't think it could have been taken in a canadian mess, not sure Paris Hilton knows where Canada is...  >:D

Bayonets: your essential Zombie killing weapon accessory.

Unless you self-reload your cartridges AND are able to produce your own pellets (two exquisite and useful skills, admittedly) I would say that bow and arrow also offers an interesting potential if you can make your own arrows (i.e. if you live on a wooded lot). 1. You can shoot from a distance...

Use "kookaburra" and "sausages" in a sentence

Replace "Australian" by "Canadian, American or British" and "kookaburra" by person and that would sound like a lot of people I know...

BGen Ménard relieved of Afganistan Comd & other fall-outs

Maverick or not, there is also the question of bad blood b/w teammates. I for one can think of at least one "intimate relationship" that made many things very difficult on one of my courses. Not something good for ANY workplace. Sacrificing workplace harmony to accomodate hormones is a dubious...

Voluntary Occupational Transfer ( VOT )

It is not a VOT until you are qualified, but a BTL reassignment. ltmaverick recently posted the BTL Reassignment quotas for 2010-11. Do a search and you should find it. Cheers!

Confusion - when the left hand says "x" and the right "y" - Eye exam aircrew

Ah I'm really happy to have someone confirm that. Thanks a bunch Eye in The Sky, it really is a load off my mind. I dreaded a cock-up once in Toronto and we are kind of hoping for a quick CT/move now. Cheers!

Confusion - when the left hand says "x" and the right "y" - Eye exam aircrew

I'll answer my own question  ;D I hold from a trusted source in D Med Pol (the authority for such things) that apparently, policy was changed recently (surprise!) and that applicants who are going aircrew OTHER THAN PILOTS and who have 20/20 vision with no prior medical history indicating eye...

Confusion - when the left hand says "x" and the right "y" - Eye exam aircrew

Ok... putting the last touches to my CT/OT, I completed my part II for initial aircrew yesterday, at the Ottawa CF Health Services Centre. Everything went well, fit for duty. BUT... I never completed any eye examination. I mean, of course a med tech made me read a chart on the wall, and I did...
