EV's, Gas/Oil, and The Future- another swerve split from- JT Hints Boosting Canada’s Military Spending

You should be in the Olympics with that jump. I said nothing about banning. Make people think about what they need, and maybe reduce fuel consumption. Standing by for being brigaded about how much more efficient trucks are now. So is everything else. And I drive a 2002 Sonoma V6, so take from...

EV's, Gas/Oil, and The Future- another swerve split from- JT Hints Boosting Canada’s Military Spending

Maybe if larger vehicles weren't exempt certain efficiency requirements, and had onerous taxes if they didn't meet efficiency requirements. That might push car manufacturers in North America to offer smaller, better designed vehicles- that are available offshore. Most people get trucks/full size...

Rise and Fall of the NDP - 2015 - ????

Yep, very disinterested, seemed like he didn't want to be there. Maybe he didn't, but make an effort.

He didn't eventually. He disappointed from the beginning.

Rise and Fall of the NDP - 2015 - ????

In my actual experience the man is an insincere weasel. He was my MP in Ottawa and you couldn't get a straight answer out of him at town halls, just attack lines, no action for constituents. He showed up at the WO & Sgts Mess one Nov 11, hovered away from everyone, a staffer brought folks to say...

AB Premier reveals plans to transfer hospitals from AHS

According to this, board members are not paid. But are still on the 150k+ compensation disclosure list. But of a puzzle. I'm sure there are some benefits, travel, gratuities, etc. https://covenanthealth.ca/about/governance/financial-reporting/compensation-disclosure

    New Canadian Shipbuilding Strategy

Not all log. There are a few edge cases, ammo and postal (perhaps), where total numbers and numbers employed would make no sense to split elements. Ammo has one or two working for the air force, one or two strictly for the Navy. If you count coastal depots, there's maybe 30. Solutions?

    Application Process Samples [ 2019-present]

The only people that do that are first year reg force ROTP, possibly just those attending RMC. For RMC, part 1 of basic, then 4 weeks of first year orientation program (FYOP), then first year of school, then second part of basic. Then start OJT, have some leave, trades training, all depending...

    Compensation for Reservists ?

    Yeah, didn't think so either.

    Compensation for Reservists ?

Oh, I know that, just confused how you would join 17 Wing as an MSE Op and then work with Militia units (apparently).
  12. AmmoTech90

    Compensation for Reservists ?

They might let you parade with a local reserve unit that needs MSE Ops but have none of their own. Seems wasteful having the air force provide regular force training and farming you out militia units (militia is colloquial for army reserve). If you want part time military employment join a...

    Compensation for Reservists ?

No. Going reg force you might wear an Air Force uniform and be in an Army unit, but not on the reserves to the best of knowledge. What reserve unit are you trying to join?
  14. AmmoTech90

    Compensation for Reservists ?

Seems a bit odd for Air Reserve. The reservists in a squadron usually work alongside the regular force members. They are admistered through the reserve flight in the unit and work in other areas. They also do regular force courses. What you are talking about for normal work sounds like an army...

Intelligence (C5ISR) - Palantir sends AI-fueled TITAN prototype to Army

How is it a sign of change? A software company that produces software the intelligence community has used for years is the lead in a program that focuses in moving its software from the office to the field? At the prototype stage for 10 units. There are companies in Ottawa that do similar things...

Government hints at boosting Canada’s military spending

Also happens (or happened) in the EOD/IEDD world. Back in the 90s when the CAF did domestic IED response I was on call. On Friday, at the end of the day an IED call came in. Just myself and the MWO in the office. His qualification had lapsed, but he didn't want to call anyone back in so he came...
