When I was in recruiting, a paper file was kept for three years and then destroyed if there was no activity with that file during that three years. However, all information is entered electronically and can be easily accessed by the CFRC that processed you or by another CFRC if required. The...
If you go Regular Force (without primary reserve experience) after 30, I am thinking you are more or less stuck as a Captain or Sergeant. Combat Arms is probably out too: training almost kills 18 year olds.
And you based this on what?
Cook and Steward are the choices now. Tallgeese do some searching and stop asking the same fracking questions that have been asked a million times here before. Lastly, you are not going to be even able to apply to MP if you don't have Police Foundations or an equivalent so start thinking about...
When I was in recruiting all selection decisions were made in Borden home of the Canadian Forces Recruiting Group Headquarters not in Ottawa as mentioned in this thread and many others. The only decisions made in Ottawa were medically related as that is where the Recruiting Medical Officer was...
A recurring theme for serving members asking questions on this site is because they are are not familiar with orders and regulations (a failure of the CoC and the individual) or because they see someone else getting something that they feel they are entitled to because they think they are...

I guess loyalty has nothing to do with leadership or is it a course...
The CFRC will be able to tell you want Reg F trades are open and the Res units will be able to tell you what reserve trades they can hire. Not the other way around. Keep in mind that Reg F and Res F recruiters have different agendas which are self explanatory.
Bullshit. While I still don't agree with your non medical POV, I have recalculated my weight loss and it was over an approximate eight period or 5 pounds plus per week. Out.
Reduce your carb intake, stop eating processed foods, take whites out of your diet (sugar, flour, salt, etc.) and exercise daily. Lost 45 lbs in five weeks that way. Set a realistic daily carb intake and stick to it.
Opinions on this subject, or any other military subject, from people without any or with very little military experience, are just that opinions and should taken with a large block of salt.
Good point! But why should someone search when there enough people on here who are quick to offer their advice, right or wrong? It is a lazy generation for sure.
I admire your desire to give back to your community but it doesn't work that way. You cannot join the reserves and not take the training required to qualify you for your position. Suggest you find a local navy, army, air force cadet league and volunteer as a Civilian Instructor. There are...
Just finished it a few minutes ago. An excellent book. Goes to show what can be accomplished without bombs and bullets. I have a new hero, Greg Mortenson. Read this book now!
PS - Ordered Stones into Schools, which documents Greg Mortenson's work from 2003 onwards.
