The platoon getting the award is pat platoon ON Base Borden. And they truly did win the 'best drill in Canada'. ....and to some that might be all they do but there are some who did work every day being tasked out and they too were awarded for giving their time.
They think they know who took the items. I have to send the serial # to my son so he can pass it in. I am sure it is a hopeless case. It is just the damn senseless of it happening in the first place, and not being able to trust your fellow man to boot.
Hence comes two of the 10 Commandments.... 'Do onto others as you would have them do onto you' and 'Thou shall not steal'. May sound a little bit too religious for some of you but it was in my upbringing and I passed it on to my son.
Thus.. are you implying the person who had their stuff stolen is also a thief? ;) ;) ;D
My son is as honest as the day is long. He was taught at an early age that stealing and lying were wrong and had consequences which he didn't partictularly like. He either waited until we could afford...
It just behooves me as to why a fellow CF member would go into another fellow CF members room, through the night while they are sleeping and steal their personal items. Yes, The items should either have not been there or else locked up but the CF is supposed to be a family. Why would they do...

Well, well, well.... Haven't I opened a can of worms and the wiggliest ones are still squirming. I never thought a simple question and an opinion from little ole me would raise such a clatter. Thank you Signalman for your input and for your understanding what I was trying to convey. I do...
HATS OFF TO YOU SIGNALMAN! ! ! Thank goodness SOMEONE ELSE can understand what I was trying to convey. Yes, It certainly is a morale booster to come in after a long arduous day and have a letter from a loved one waiting for you. Someone has to be able to answer as to why these individuals do...
Many thanks. It's just something else a person will just have to live with. By the way he has been in Borden and on base since April. No harm done. I tend to 'jump the gun' so to speak.. ..when things don't go right. The humidity for sure.
