Back Dated IRB adjustment from 2021

I'm writing to see if anyone else was in a similar situation and its been resolved. June 2021 VAC reached out to me saying there was a pay adjustment going back to when I medical released that affected my monthly IRB. (AFAIK) They requested for me to give a release of information between them...

Injury after release connected to previously awarded conditon

Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah primary condition was the issue with my legs, its an awarded condition and was main reason I was medically released. When I initially applied regarding the rupture I attributed it to my previously awarded condition, and VAC gave me a form for my Doctor to fill...

Injury after release connected to previously awarded conditon

Just curious if anyone has successfully applied for support on a new injury after release. I currently have an awarded injury on both my legs. This injury basically ended up making my walking ability restricted and difficult for long periods or even what would be considered normal use...

Disgusting Display from a vet in Irving's Big Stop Restaurant

Yeah, having a brain fart right now, but forget the catch all that was attached to charges when I served that is similar.

Yeah I know it was a loaded question. It's probably good there is not.

Disgusting Display from a vet in Irving's Big Stop Restaurant

I'm curious, can a vet be charged with military discipline after their service period, or any criminal charter violations for disgraceful conduct, or conduct unbecoming while representing the CAF?

Disgusting Display from a vet in Irving's Big Stop Restaurant

Because deep down they are cowards. They will confront the low person on the totem pole who is just trying to earn their underpaid wages, instead of confronting people with the power to address their concerns. This is kind of like giving your private a hard time because you were assigned duty...

Disgusting Display from a vet in Irving's Big Stop Restaurant

Came across this earlier today. Absolutely disgusting display by a vet in public on remembrance day. The video isn't high quality, but can anyone ID both medals he is wearing. I think the left one is South west Asia with Afghanistan bar, and I think his cap badge is RCR?

B.C. premier says he will lobby PM to enlist military for wildfire duty

Maybe time to bring back the forestry corps. If government wants to fund it. Why nor?

The navy is broke,' says former sailor over maintenance budget

Personally I'm following this one closely. Ironically I'm now sitting at the hospital for a lung xray because I have a lot of issues with breathing. Yes I worked in the navy and on more than one occasion I know I was exposed to mold directly. For years while I served I had a smoker's cough...

Helicopter working with HMCS Fredericton crashes

Lots of variables we don't have really. From a quick google search sea temps over there are 13-17 degrees, which is 1-2 hours until exhaustion or unconsciousness. They should have had survival suits on. They may have deployed a raft. There are still lots of reasons to remain optimistic.

Helicopter working with HMCS Fredericton crashes

I hope it isn't. I jumped the gun and id'd it wrong. Still hoping for some good news, I most likely know the SAC on duty during this. Strikes very close to home for me.

Helicopter working with HMCS Fredericton crashes

Unfortunately Italian Navy , 1 deceased found, 5 souls missing. https://mobile.twitter.com/ItaMilRadar/status/1255595409956880384?s=20 Edit seems to be a civilian account that tracks air travel of Italian military.

HMCS Calgary CO & XO Relieved Of Duty- January 2020

I curious how this went down. I experienced a ship having it's Cox'n replaced during workups, but never a CO or XO, or in this case both. I know with the Cox'n it was a huge deal with the Commodore showing up along with Fleet Cox'n while in port. It had potential to spoil our crew also because...

Harry and Meghan to step down as senior royals

Yeah like it or not, we are a commonwealth country. No matter how we feel about it, it is our Duty to ensure members of the Royal Family are protected while on our soil. Even if they are here in an unofficial capacity. One of my biggest issues with our politics is we nickle and dime...

8 Jan 2020: UKR Airliner shot down in Tehran

I was thinking this as well, or at the very least to take the narrative it was some rogue operator and make a very public trial on punishing them.

8 Jan 2020: UKR Airliner shot down in Tehran

It seems there is no way Iran will ever admit this now. All their actions up to now has been looking like a cover up. Delay and deny. They dont even have plausible deniability at this point. This actually may be enough to stir enough resentment to the regime within the Iranian people. They are...

    Favourite War Movies

My favorite war movie has always been The Bridge on the River Kwai. I think the story is amazing, and how the events culminate in the end really gives a unique perspective. Not to mention the core of the actors in it did an amazing job as well.
