I am not sure why everybody is picking on tsokman. Everybody has preferences. I would like to do my BMQ in spring too. I applied for the Navy, I would like to be posted to Esquimalt not Halifax. I would like to be NES Op more than NCI Op.
This does not mean I will ask for a VR if I get posted...

I would appreciate if someone from CFRC could let me know how many positions are still open for NCI Op and NES Op, or even if there are any.. ::)
cheers
That is true for sure, but how CF sees it might be different... I think it should override myself but you never know...
PS: I did do college for Mech Eng Tech and I hated it :P
I am going to say finish high school as well! I am not sure which year you are graduating... If you are thinking of skipping or taking a break this coming up term, then you most likely wont get into the reserves until summer. Application process takes a while. I applied for the regular force in...
In my situation, PLD would be just a bonus... I will have rental income from my property in Vancouver as well... And my spouse is moving to Victoria regardless if we can live together or not...
Absolutely! Thanks for the advise. I am not going to commit to anything because one person said something on the internet :) No offense.... I will make sure before I do anything!
;D
I was under the impression that I had to live on base.. Perfect!
I guess the extra cost will be fact that I will have to move my belongings at my own cost...
It is great that PLD is granted as well!
Thanks!
At my cost (no PLD etc) will I be able to live off base during my QL3 Course?
It turns out, my spouse will be in Victoria doing an internship for about a year while I might be doing my QL3 course in CFB Esquimalt. I am aware that timing might not work out since I am not even offered a position...
:rofl:
Skyclimber, I do no know what trade you are applying to at all, but I can tell you what I am expecting from my career, I am in recruiting process myself, so this is not experience but from what I am told and expect.
I live in Greater Vancouver and applied for Naval Electronic Sensor...
Reserves = Part Time
Regular = Full Time
According to Forces.ca Aerospace Engineering Officer can be full-time or part-time, depends which one you apply for.
I Had no idea about the other thread. They just finished posting the new version, new version is called Reloaded. In any case, either this thread or the other one should be a sticky to catch attention of all the recruits like myself... I believe it is a great resource and some don't know about it...
