As a last update to the situation. (If it means anything). I've gotten hired for staff for the 2012 summer training season. So all you Cadets that have joined late, don't worry there are always options.

If they do let Air Cadets take the course, what do Army Cadets get that is distinctively theirs? The Air Cadets have the Glider program, Sea Cadets i believe can get their Radio certification. (had difficulty finding their summer training courses). And if Air Cadets get Basic Para what do Army...

I heard from a C/WO that selection for camp is based on age now. he also stated that he had green stars doing CLi D&C with them. So i think there is hope. ;D But i'm also thinking of going straight to the QOROC. But i have to see if they are hiring.

I have not attended summer training at all because i was 16 during training and was way too old to go to general training or basic training.

I honestly could not find this anywhere else. I am 16 years old now and i am at the rank of C/Rifleman (Private).Ii am going to be 17, a C/MCpl, and red star by the end of the Cadet year.  Is there a chance for me to go to camp for a CL/CLi course? Or even as a staff cadet? This has been bugging...

My solution, Have A Velcro patch on the sleeve where you would put the the RCACC logo on it and the corps identification, get rid of the crossed swords, and replace Canada with Cadet.(note. they have the CADETPAT slip on's which read "Cadet" why they were not issued with the kit is beyond me.) ...

Are the combat boots for the combat Mk5's or can they be any boot? Could not find an answer anywhere and since it's part of combats i don't think i should of started a new topic for this.
