Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

I suspect you chose C) 21 as the answer by converting four fifths into a decimal ( .80) and calculating 80 percent of 27 (21.6).  Figuring you cant have .6 of a person, you rounded down to 21. But.....as Mr O'Leary pointed out, there is more to the question.  Paying attention to detail is one...

    CFAT Question Re: Ambiguous Questions/Answers

You may be reading too much into what the question requires. I easily answered C)  28.  The question asked for years. Not years and months.  It's like telling someone your age.  We don't normally give the months and years.  I can't recall if the CFAT has any "trick" questions.  It's been...

    IR - furniture rental

I assume it would be better to just purchase some second hand furniture, and use the furniture rental savings to get a better apartment.  However, the IR Solutions webpage does look interesting, but they dont mention price.

    IR - furniture rental

Not sure what you are trying to tell me here Shamrock.    In the 34 pages I don't see anything related to SE noncommercial accommodation, and specifically furniture rental. nor did I see the posting allowance mentioned.

    IR - furniture rental

I have just read most of CBI 208 ( relocation benefits ) however I have a couple of questions to throw out there. Do members proceeding IR receive a posting allowance ( or partial ) ? CBI 208.997 (9) states " actual and reasonable expenses for non-commercial accommodations or family housing...

Won't speculate on a members " speed " of promotions.  There are a number of factors. I will say MCpl Adlington  is a respected member of the unit, and known as a SME in a number of fields.

Pay: Statements, Backpay, Benefits, Deductions (Taxes, T4), Deployed ect... [MERGED]

Pay: Statements, Backpay, Benefits, Deductions (Taxes, T4), Deployed ect... [MERGED]

On my monthly pay statement I do not have a monetary deduction for provincial income tax.  This isn't something new, I have had a 0.00 amount entered in the provincial tax block on my pay statement for at least 5 years. But, according to the CRA wrbsite there is a tax rate for provinces.  I...

What element - trade doesn't have to travel abroad

Doesn't mean it can't / doesn't happen. I personally know of 2 badged regular force musicians ( pipers) that have done a full tour in Afghanistan.  One was employed as the TFK visits warrant, and the other did the MTTF.  There could very well be more examples I am not aware of.

The brown Temperate Combat Boot (AKA: Mk IV Cbt Boot) - No longer CADPAT

boot bands solve the issue if you are standing  still.  They dont solve the issue when you are out and about working all day. I do wear boots bands.. the problem is they slip up over the boot.  Wasnt a problem when I tucked the excess lace inside the boot.  I only stated I dont like tying a bow...

The brown Temperate Combat Boot (AKA: Mk IV Cbt Boot) - No longer CADPAT

I was issued a pair of these boots a couple weeks ago here in Kingston.  I had to ( reluctantly ) trade in my pair of MK3s with vibrum soles as they were literally held together on the inside with duct tape. I was sized for the GP combat boot and told that its a bit of a lottery what shows up...
