Aye. Couldn’t get on a jump course when I was a young feller as it was so popular. My unit kept sending kiss arses who would be rtu within days but fit smart asses like myself, no dice. Lessons learned.

Interesting. The one I received is unmistakably blue. Not dark enough to be mistaken for black. Compared mine to buddy’s naval beret. Very different.

This. Last time I shot the service pistol it was abysmal. Once domestic niner gives approval will ‘pull trigger’ on buying a pistol so I can practice.

I concur. I now have the blue beret and the colour is a fine hue. It is distinctive and I believe will be good for esprits de corps. Not as good as new boots, pistols, chest rigs etc. I agree that infantry should be the the folks wearing scarlet for mess dress.

Totally unsat. Officers should be punished for sure. Difficult to lose your commission though. Last one I’ve heard of was the former Col R Williams who had his commission revoked by the Governor General.
