    You forgot to add the detail where the aircrew "rotos" are less than 3 months (some considerably less than that) which isn't even enough time for the GSM-EXP to be ordered and delivered before they leave theatre. Add the fact that to qualify for the GCS-EXP one needs 30 days over the badlands...

    Or they could just designate the GCS/GSM-EXP ribbons as "Iraq". Then design a new EXP ribbon or get rid of the a EXP all together for the two medals since there's already the OSM and SSM EXP. It could have been much worse, they could have just awarded the GCS/GSM-SWA given the Op's location.
