From your description I see the process has changed. I never received any messages related to funding approval, and my ILP Approval message did not make the distinction you described.
Thanks for the info. I try to stay current on these things for the troops' sake.
How is that supposed to work? In my experience, the sequence was:
1. Submit ILP
2. Receive ILP approval message
3. Complete a year's worth of courses
4. Submit claim
5. Repeat steps 3-4
At what point does the member find out whether they have "funding approval"? Hopefully it's sometime before...
To be clear, we're talking about online courses offered by the NATO School for self-enrollment, similar to DNDLearn. If any of these courses have been assigned MITE codes, I have not been able to find them.
There are some DNDLearn courses that do not have an HRMS code associated with them (I presume because the course developer did not request one). If you see a six-digit number in the course title, it will show up on your MPRR, provided you have someone to input it via HRMS.

The annual reviews are no longer published on the internet [http://www.cmp-cpm.forces.gc.ca/dhr-ddhr/pub/index-eng.asp], but these were awarded to Canadians in 2011:
There is certainly a precedence for the awarding of campaign medals, including Australian campaign medals (though you probably didn't intend to exclude them with your post). Examples here, in the Annual Reviews publications: http://cmp-cpm.forces.mil.ca/dhr-ddhr/pub/index-eng.asp.
By the time you're checking in, your bargaining power is long gone. The time to ask about rates and discounts is before you make a reservation.
Sheraton, of course, is free to offer rates as they please.
It certainly does help, thanks to both of you. Can you send a link to the draft 13/14 Calendar? My link for the national calendar is limited to this FY.
Do the current PLQ DL packages require a full-time commitment, or is it realistic to expect they can be done on evenings and weekends (in the case of a PRes member with a full-time civilian job)? Also, does the DL require DWAN access? Is it hosted on DNDLearn?
