Nope, sadly, not sure at all. I made my comment mostly in the hopes that the Cpl in question would see them and come to realize just how little the rest of us think of him
I just can't see this guy being in the actual military, especially not the combat arms. The type of guy that hides behind an anonymous FB page just wouldn't have the cojones to make it in the CF.
The PSO at the recruiting centre can apply for a waiver to re-enrole you, if you can convince said PSO that you really are a new you. At least that is how it worked when I was in recruiting 7 years ago.
For the OP; If you want to lead people there are opportunities as a pilot. You just have to be on the look out for them and do a bit of work to seize them.
WRT mobilizing the reserves, I believe that the GoC would have to form the Special Force (IIRC from the OPME I was forced to given the awesome privilege to do.)
WRT The rest.... Let it roll see where it goes.......;)
Yes, you should give it a shot. It may mean doing a few catch up courses to get your grades where they need to be, but the reward is worth it. You don't want to look back at this moment 40 years from now and wonder, "What if...."
I was a class one with 2500 hrs when I joined. I went in with the attitude that I was now the student and that I would do things the way I was taught. Bad habits didn't pose much of a problem.
To the OP.
The only person who can give you a definite answer WRT your medical condition is the Recruiting Medical Officer. Go, put in your application, see what the RMO says and comply with his direction.
When I worked in recruiting I did not often see a resume. Most of the time all that...
I had similar troubles when I was going through the recruiting process; the RMO did not like my BMI and LDL/HDL levels and declared me unfit. I called the number listed in the sig block on the RMO's letter and was told that they would consider revising their opinion if I submitted paperwork...
If you are really keen to get into the CF I'd suggest going ACSO. The experience you get there will help you in pilot training if you decide to change trades later. Working as a combat engineer or an AEC will not help you in pilot training.
