    Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

The NDP desperately need to get back to the style of Tommy Douglas and Ed Schreyer. A healthy labour party is good for everyone.

Were you a Reg or Res Garry?

Ill pass on the Tommy Cooker thanks lol. We still have a regimental shot called a Hatcher - a shooter of burning Sambuca that resembles the cookoff of Sherman tanks from the war.

    Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

I get it but its not a need. No one should be entitled to tax dollars due to their age if they arent needing welfare. Its ludicrous and adding to the fiscal conundrum that the elderly receive payment even if theyre making middle class wages between 60k to 90k in retirement.

The first cuts should be OAS. No more OAS over 60k or something along those lines instead of 90k. Beyond that there are tough decisions to make. Theyre already cutting the PS, unfortunately pharmacare might need to be shelved for now despite being a utilitarian good.

    Canada's tanks

Frankly, irrelevant. Until we see some of these new technologies, it doesnt really matter. I will gladly change my mind when they come out but in the world of T-90Ms, Type 99As, Leopard 2A8+, Challenger 3, etc, the previous layout is superior.

    Trump administration 2024-2028

There's only so many times you can walk like a duck and talk like a duck before youre probably a duck. White nationalists are at all level of the Trump administration and as shown by the young republicans scandal, they have probably been thoroughly infiltrated by fascists. Its happening right...

    Trump administration 2024-2028

Problem is over 20 million people lose their healthcare if those subsidies collapse. I laud Dems for treating that as their bridge too far, just as I thunk theyre idiots for not using their previous complete control of the legislative and executive branch to find a way to stabilize this file...

    Canada's tanks

Kevin respectfully, I think I know more about tanks than you think, considering Im a crewman. This guy's blogpost lays it out well. Like I said, there's actual reasons for rear engine tanks. There are also actual reasons we actively don't front engine tanks...

Lots of room at CFB Winnipeg for expansion.

Theres talk of instituting CEGEP in Manitoba in the French immersion stream which would be fantastic. Some pushback that is frankly valid is itll only serve to widen the academic gap between the Engliah only stream which leaves lots to be desired and the French immersion stream which is far more...

    Canada's tanks

Engine upfront reduces armour potential of the front. You cant have as thick of RHA up front due to weight and balancing issues and its difficult to slope the armour on the glacis as much as you want without making the tank much taller which in turn makes positioning more difficult. Its more...

Probably still an M-Kill if the drivers console is destroyed. Potentially a K-Kill.

Quadruple it and it might be attractive. 250 bucks get you dinner and tank of gas for a family of four these days.

    Canada's tanks

Nailed it. They also tend to be less reliable as they either vent the heat at the front which negatively affects your thermals or you have to build a heavy, complex cooling system that exhausts to the rear. Tanks are rear engine for a reason. People like to point to Merkava but honestly, its...

    Replacing the Subs

A few dozen nuclear warheads on those cruise missiles should do the trick to smarten up some of the more belligerent neighbours;) (Or piss off the Russkis royally)

I dont think you understand the principles of armour and how its an force multiplier on the battlefield.

    Canada's tanks

Russian tactics of driving in straight lines playing bumper tanks is why their tank attacks fail often. Penny packeting out tanks the soviet way also contributes to this as you cannot achieve the massing and shock action for successful attacks.
