CADPAT would be more expensive...and hard to get. OD or coyote brown would be much easier to get.

Just an idea, forget the Goretex lining, it'll save on weight and keep costs down, and you can use a dry bag or anything similar inside. Instead go with a 500d Cordura bag, double the bottom, and add a storm collar. As for the lid, a floating design isn't bad though it looses the point IMO when...

Most bags I've seen lately use 500d Cordura. It's a tighter weave than 1000d, lighter and more water resistant.

Might be a 1CMBG thing? I know Z Bty has also gotten the TT MAV's with the goody bag of pouches, also saw a couple guys at 2VP using them last time I was in the field.

Two options; One, you can replace just the yoke (looks like a TT MAV? You can buy the X-harness seperate. Two, you can either sew a new strap onto the yoke, or just add to what's there. Find a local tailor or fabric shop and buy some 2" webbing.

I can't imagine a patent on anything other than the plastic hardware used for the rigging. Just take it apart and you might find the manufactures name printed on the pieces.

Myself and everyone I've seen runs the A7A straps around the entire pack (so they top to bottom of the frame and around the outside of the bag and valice). I picked mine up from Dropzone in Edmonton, and have 2" ITW Nexus buckles on them.
