Having been a reservist my whole adult life, I read the article and thought yet again, the public/media/other gov't agencies, whomever, make a differentiation between Canada's Military and a reservist - We are one in the same are we not?
Perhaps if the author of the article phrased it...
16 years, 2 tours, PLQ Land + Inf 2B got me written off CAP. Sometimes the equivalencies given don't neccesarily reflect the level of experience...But how could it possibly? It's a conversion chart.
How much of this is political posturing, followed by a 'well folks, now that I am in power, it seems that the situation might not be as black and white' ? Maybe he doesnt gut the military...Or.....
2 suggestions -
1 - skip the school's administrator and go directly to the school board or to the local government - chances are the Principal didn't think of Mark to begin with, and won't see your point, so go somewhere to effect change or at least be heard.
2 - write a letter to the local...
48th, generally speaking I did not think it was a good article. You highlight some good points, but in the end, the treatment of an OSI is up to the member and would normally not be able to be forced on someone. There are plenty of people who suffer from OSI's that function well, if not 100% and...
Should be interesting to see how many people who may be suffering from PTSD will be willing to speak to Brunet after the comment Shamrock highlighted above becomes more widely known in our circles. With any luck, no-one speaks to him or assists in his research and he becomes irrelevant, dries up...
ED&T's are not a right. They have to be approved through the chain of command, as does the NES system including the letters signed by the CO. There are always chronic cases that have to be dealt with, and as I state above, sometimes the left hand doesnt talk to the right. Having years and years...
WHat Geo says is right. People think that because they hand in a memo for release that they dont have to continue to parade. The admin process is slow, and you can be NES and 5f'd in short order if left hand isn't talking to right. Staff the ED&T request, but make sure you don't just drop off...
The Dutch were doing it in KAF in 2006. They were sea containers over a foundation with decking for floors and roof trusses which they put a sheet metal roofing on. Pretty neat idea for mobile quarters and offices. I think they had something similar in DB Bugoinjo (spelling?) in Bosnia.
The thing is, if this guy goes into something like solitary, it seems like maybe the voices in his head would be enough to keep him company until he dies...He's in his 70's...Who knows how long he might live. Is there really a punishment fitting enough for someone who would do something like he did?
He was so horrified he watched the entire thing.....Er....Of course it was because he was so petrified that he simply couldn't operate the remote...while he was......watching.....
Shocking.....
Terrible.....
LOL...Why doesnt that happen to me?
Yeah, it's pretty cool. I just took my 60 sized spitfire up last weeked. It was great. I've been in the hobby for a year and a little bit now, and really enjoy it. Great way to unwind and focus on something different....You lose focus, you could pile in a 1000$ airplane or heli.....You ever get...
BYTD, I do planes and I have a helo I am setting up. PM me if you need some info on getting into the hobby. It's as addiciting as shooting....Which makes it somewhat unpopular at home...But She's bought me all my planes for xmas and birthday!
