Joint Task Force 2 (JTF 2) - Canadian Special Forces

Better plan; join the reserves, go to university, get accepted to medical school, join the regular forces and have them pay for it. Once your done and served a couple years as a GDMO, apply to CANSOFCOM as a doctor and serve in one of the units. Just outlining options.

CAF deploys to fight Ebola (Op SIRONA)

No, malarone will prevent that. And rainy season starts in June. Travellers diarrhea and other usual bugs and bites will be thier biggest threat, despite the group being based out of a western resort.

Bemoaning The Lack of Sports in The CF? [merged thread]

I also disagree. I will go further by saying your statement is made from a position of ignorance. If you do not know or understand what our "arcs" are, then how can you say we "are working well outside" of them? Do you know precisely what each and every Clinician has done in thier training and...

    CANFORGEN -076/14 No personal accessories.

Don't understand what all the bitching is about. 1. Painted rifles don't look good on parade 2. LCF accessories won't help your shooting when you take your gun out to the range once a year to shoot your allotted 100 bullets. 3. Painting your gun doesn't help camouflage when it's in the weapons...

    Medical Drop Leg Pouch recommendations

There is no such thing as a "good drop-leg medical pouch". Take it from the pro's. They don't work. Keep it on your belt or rig. Edit to add: the pouch you shown only cares for 1 cas. Keep your personal pouch rear right, your working pouch mid left (assuming you're a right hand shooter).

Nigeria (split fm Africa in Crisis)

And has nothing to do with Nigeria being a fellow English speaking Commonwealth country. It is more in under the influence of the Brits and US. We have a good relationship, but Canada had Mali and those countries bordering it as their strategic interest.

    General Surgeon in CF

I don't know enough to answer all your questions. But I do know specialist surgeons are, for the most part, members of 1 Canadian Field Hospital. They work as staff at various civilian hospitals. Armed Forces Consider incentives to keep soldiers fit

CAF members forget that this is meant to determine the baseline, the minimum standard, of fitness for ALL members of the Canadian Armed Forces. There should be no additional incentives. If people want to show off their fitness level, then let them pursue other means: inter unit sports and...
