Same applies to civilian universities. The UTPNCM selection board wants to see University courses completed... not OPME's
If your university grants you an equivalency credit, then it will reflect on your transcript and the PSO and UT board will be happy. You can't show them a "P" on your MPRR...
Wow I wish that bonus was in place when I transferred to RegF Sig Op. QL5B qualified, and I got nothing. In fact I had to fight to get a higher incentive!
Hey all,
I had the "issued" orthoscopic surgery due to a training injury just over a year ago, and my knee is now worse than it was before the surgery.
Basically I am unable to run, bike, elipticallify or do any lower body strength training anymore. The surgeon wants to put me under the knife...
218. Call your wife/husband at the same rate as your peers. If they are calling once a day and you are calling once every two weeks, your spouse is talking to the other spouses and will know right away. S/he will make your tour overseas a living hell as well as those in your administrative...
Good points. Just a note though. You can still claim with a partial unpack. Any box that the unpackers open is claimable. If you open a box, then you can't claim. Anything that went on the truck not in a box, and came off the truck damaged is claimable. If they told your brother that he's...
It was on the market for 7 days when I looked at it. 14 days by the time our negotiations were finished. I really lucked out, the house has been completely remodeled inside - it's like living in a brand new house, with huge property and in a really friendly town. Being posted to Pet I imagine...
I compared the drive to my trip to work in Ottawa.
Anyone living in Kanata can expect a 45 + minute ride to work via car OR bus.
:-) It doesn't feel so bad when I look at it that way... just the gas thing. Maybe I should buy a holding tank and pump and store my own gas.
I sound all optimistic...
I wouldn't advise unpacking on your own. If you opt out of having an unpacker come, then you waive all claims on any damaged items inside the box.
What I did was made them unpack anything with breakables/valuables in it, and left the rest to do on my own time (A partial unpack). They unpacked...
Also... keep an eye on IRP. Read the books you are given thoroughly so you know what you are entitled to. At the end of the move they won't go through the checklist and say "do you need to claim this? how about this?"
You have to provide them the receipts for anything you're entitled to and...
Most days in the summer (i.e. days that are not raining) the motorcycle from Beachburg makes things a LOT cheaper. The drive gives me about 30 minutes in the morning to wake up and plan my day, and 30 minutes in the afternoon to decompress from a day of running around at 2 Svc Bn! I am also...
I just got posted to Petawawa also. My experience with the base is limited to my QL3 Infantry (in '93) and my CLC (in '98). Don't know much more about life off and around the base. My life was on the Mattawa Plains back when we lived in tent city, and the leadership building. All I needed to...
FUNNY UNDERWEAR STORY
When I enrolled in 1992, I had NO idea what I was doing. I didn't even know how to put my hair in a bun, so I cut it short.
I received all my initial kit issue and assumed that I was supposed to wear only what I was issued. So I showed up to work wearing those boxer...
A fellow on my JLC back in '98 used one, and he was only permitted to do the JLC portion, not the JNCO portion because it was in the field. Don't know if anything has changed since then. Anyone else?
Do you have access to any University Libraries?
You might find additional scholarly books/reports/papers there.
PM me if you can't, I might be able to help
Thanks... I was only basing it on my "after-getting-accepted" experience. However, I think even in this case "CAN" is the key word. Basically there is no way of knowing how long it will take. There are so many factors involved in the process.
Cheers!

I can answer two of your questions:
1) Yes Log Officers can take parachute training
2) Your security clearance shouldn't take much longer than someone born in Canada (coming from a Commonwealth country) and Log Officers don't require the highest levels
You seem like a good candidate, but I...
When I was in the Comm Res it was like that as well. Basically, anyone who hadn't completed Basic, were not allowed to participate in any live firing due to them not being qualified on the weapon (One girl who med RTU'd spent a whole year in the unit before getting to try Basic a second time)...
lol I have all my old tans and garrison uniform in a box in the basement. I still wear the garrison boots on occasion. Usually for halloween!!
I think I also have discontinued combat boots, one pair of the first goretex boots that came out before these new ones... 4 pairs of desert boots from...
Not necessarily. There are many UTs out there who were accepted into the program without an acceptance letter from a University. Most were given a conditional acceptance, based on them getting their admission, and some if didn't get in, did some OJT until they could get it. I was promoted...
