    Mess Kits

Is there even a branch specific tartan for CELE? Or is it just AF tartan? Which do the air force wear?

    Mess Kits

Even as a CELE and not as Sigs (just clarifying)? Wish it was only all one standard, not so many choices

    Mess Kits

Or being in Kingston.... They should have them at the museum right? Just finishing at RMC and completely clueless about mess kit haha.

    Mess Kits

So I'd have to get a tartan cummerbun with a black bowtie? Yes, I know about the mess kit that has to be tailored (blue) but I meant standard for shirt, bowtie, etc. What is the branch cummerbund for CELE? Canex doesn't sell the ones you tie yourself.... so what is the next best thing? Canex...

Mandatory to live on campus in University?

When I joined, I had to serve 5 years after the 4 of school.... SO I signed a 9 year contract..... My brother on the other hand, joined two years after me, and he had to sign a 13 year contract.

    Old uniform parts

So when it comes to the tunics, we have to take the time to take off the "Canada" and the rank on the sleeve?

    Mess Kits

I am in the process of buying all my new mess kit stuff. I have some questions after the amount of stuff at the Canex rack over took me. By the way, I am air force.... 1. Are cummerbuns mandatory? 2. For air force, do we have to have the tartan stuff or can we stick to black (e.g. black bow tie...

Why does a security clearance only be done on immediate family?

I am in the process of applying for my third level security clearance level, and with being a new father and common-law partner, I've discovered I have to include my spouse's immediate family in the security clearance as well. Anyone know why this is? And what happens if one of the family...

    Remedial Measures DAOD 4019-4 [merged]

I'm asking about how the CF does the punishment thing, not whining about my own. I want to know how to apply it correctly to my subordinates.

    Remedial Measures DAOD 4019-4 [merged]

Isn't it normally a case of they point it out, then you have to have it fixed for the next inspection, then if it's still not right, then the massive amount of remedial inspections?

    Remedial Measures DAOD 4019-4 [merged]

Interesting dilemma... I'd be curious to see what people's takes would be on it. I had a Major's inspection last week, pants were long (I thought they were the right size) but nobody said anything from the end of last year up until this inspection, and the Major said something to me about it...

Common Law Marriage in the Canadian Forces - Mega Thread

No, I'm not to go that far, and  besides, anti-abortionists did win in one aspect when the bill about fetus rights came up, however, they saw that it overruled women's rights, so therefore lost because of that reason. ArmyVern, this topic is now closed. No more on it, I had what I was looking...

Common Law Marriage in the Canadian Forces - Mega Thread

CountDC, I think you took things the wrong way... We aren't making excuses for the pregnancy. When we discovered she was allergic to condoms, and when we discovered birth control made her sick, we had discussed options of alternatives, etc. Abstinence is a little harder to go at for a 19-21 year...

Common Law Marriage in the Canadian Forces - Mega Thread

No, we are not looking at it as a mistake, but rather a gift meant to happen. So we are going to be telling them that they were an unexpected gift from God. I think this is straying from the original thread topic.

Common Law Marriage in the Canadian Forces - Mega Thread

Things happen. Everything happens for a reason. The way things are looking, everything will turn out fine, but it's still going through the steps. Do you know how bad it would sound to say to your child that you got married BECAUSE of them?

Common Law Marriage in the Canadian Forces - Mega Thread

More like allergies, and sickness.... As for the legal reality, I am beginning to come to terms with it. As for the common-law, and why... Well there's two reasons. One is because without it, I am not able to live off campus next year because I am on a UPR for physical fitness because I am not...
