    March 2008 BMQ

I was told to expect an offer in a few days, and then I'd be leaving shortly after for training, so I might be there.

Monthly Pay after deductions - Questions [Merged]

All essentials are provided?  That takes a load off my shoulders.  Thanks a lot!  Also, you mentioned the haircut...would it be preferred that I get my head buzzed and shave clean before getting there, or do it when I arrive so that I'm sure to do it right?

Monthly Pay after deductions - Questions [Merged]

I realize this topic is considerably old and my question doesn't exactly relate to the original topic, but here we go... When I start BMQ, I'll be completely broke.  This is fine for me because I don't have any bills/debt to worry about.  My only concern is putting together my kit.  Will the...

    So I'm on my way

Yeah it kind of sucked.  But once I realized that there wasn't actually anything wrong with me, I felt a little better. I feel pretty good, too.  I was worried about the medical because I get pretty frequent headaches and take ibuprofen for them.  But I told the med staff this and he said that...

    So I'm on my way

I initially handed in my application for a full time position for Comm Rsch with the Army on November 6th (my 20th birthday).  The CFAT, Medical and Interview came soon after.  Everything was going well until I received a letter from the medical center in Ottawa.  Immediately I knew something...

    Denied

Thanks. I'm sorry about my earlier post.  I was a little frustrated because I thought it was the end of the road.  I called the recruiting center and they said it was possible to send new medical information to dispute the decision.  I hope I can get this all resolved.

They asked me to go and get re-tested by my family doctor, which I did.  He said my BP was "mid-high", which to me didn't sound too bad.  I haven't been doing a lot of cardio, and nerves were a contributing factor.  I don't get anxiety attacks; being nervous never stopped me from doing anything...

    Denied

I hope it's as simple as that.  I've got an appointment booked for a few days from now.  I'll have him re-check my BP, as well. Thanks for the suggestions!

My medical record is clean.  There's nothing about an anxiety disorder on there.  The last thing that should be listed was the mononucleosis I had 5 years ago.

I want to dispute the anxiety in general.  I was nervous while they were checking my BP, because I was nearing the end of the testing process, and I had my interview immediately after. The result of which would be what decides the rest of my life, whether or not I'll be able to do the job I've...

I got the letter back from Ottawa just a few minutes ago.  According to them, I'm not suitable for the armed forces because I have "occasional anxiety".  Six months of work and preparation, and I'm denied without being given a chance. Is there anything I can do to dispute this?

    Passed My CFAT :)

I went in for the CFAT on the 14th.  The test was longer than I expected, and surprisingly more difficult than I could have imagined.  However, I was told immediately afterwards that I qualified for any position in the Army, Navy and Air Force (with the exception of any college/university...

    Possible medical problem

When I was in my early teens, I was diagnosed with mononucleosis.  The recovery for this took a while, to the point where a year later I was still having problems.  I went to a pediatrician and he said that it's possible that I have chronic fatigue symptom, though I'm questioning it now.  I...
