I think we were still using Mk 6 Cents in 1965? There is a decent kit of the Mk 6 here, which actually includes the parts to make it a later Mk 11 if you want.

Hello, I'm wondering if some RCMP member might have access to the TAVII & would be willing to provide some digital photos?
Generally, I am looking for pics of the mods done and 'walk-arounds' of the vehicle. Technical / Tactical info appreciated, but understood if opsec prevents its release...
Looks like the Hobbyboss kit will be out soon, around August.

Looks like everything we need to make the Cdn version is in the box - slat armour, Cdn markings, GPMG, "T" Antenna mounts.
No word on a price, but previous iterations of their Leopards (2A4...
No, its the one with sharks with fricken laser beams on their heads! ;D
The TUA looks good too, but they moulded it with the extra armour bolted on. Not sure if LAV-TUA ever wore that armour?
I've been working with them on a BISON. They have just done an ASLAV-PC, so I would think their BISON...
Quite right. The original box art had the name Kodiak on it, but before the artwork went to press, the company changed it to LAV-III. Nice to see a company that listens to constructive criticism, though the "Kodiak" reference may not be completely removed from the instructions sheets etc.
Upcoming release from Trumpeter. Pity they moulded the applique armour on the TUA version - as far as I am aware, the TUA has not been fitted with the armour package. Maybe the guys at Trumpeter models are predicting we'll send TUA to Afghanistan? Augment Coyotes in the surveillance role...
wow, I just checked the price on the Walthers site...you train guys get raped! I thought 1/35th scale was getting expensive, but $60 for an HO scale AFV is some serious coin.
Hi Stuart,
I would go for the LAV C2 sold by trident in place of the Stryker. IMO it looks more like a Bison than the Stryker, though neither has the near vertical side/rear hull of the Bison.
Plus, the LAV C2 it looks to be about 1/4 the price of the Stryker
Ah, gotcha. I don't think there is a Husky, but you can get a Buffalo. I've seen it built up and it is a beautiful kit, but hugely expensive:

Hi Dan, I did try to match the paints colours used for that era (1-GP-12c: 501-102 for the upper and 501-105 for the lower). I like to use Gunze acrylic paints, and in that range I found Extra Dark Sea Grey and Dark Sea Grey to be pretty close.
Here's my RCN Skyraider in 1/48 Scale. It's my first aircraft model in over a decade, and I decided to go with a 'what-if' scenario. I figured that the RCN could have operated Spad in the fighter role in place of the Sea Fury, and in the ASW/AEW role much the same as the Avenger. I painted this...
Hey GDawg, I have about 300 photos of the HUSKY, skinny wheel and fat wheel eras. What is an MDT?
I can email you the pics...except Trumpeter has listed a HUSKY as a future release. I'm waiting to see what theirs looks like before I scratch one.
You can get a pretty accurate Canadian M113 with a few aftermarket sets.
For the base kit, I would use the <a href="http://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/kits/aca/kit_aca_13211.shtml">Academy M113A3 kit</a>
And add to that a set of <a href="http://www.trackjam.com/hkcw/hkcwm113.htm">Diehl...
Yep - Resicast sold their molds to Elite. From what I gather, the Elite kits have the VW logo moulded on the grille, whereas the now out-of-production Resicast kit gave you an etched brass VW or Bombardier logo.
Small world eh? If it is the same fella we are talking about (ex-LdSH, now SALH), his tank & troop will also be featured in a photo book from the company Real Model
