Have you looked at a Reserve unit to see if they have DEO positions in what you're looking for? You could also consider joining a reserve unit as an NCM in an armour, artillery or infantry position and then apply into the Reg F as an officer when a spot opens up.

^Agreed, I was just accepted into the army reserve last week and I'm 26.  I became interested in joining the reserves just after I turned 25.

I had my physical, medical, and interview last Thursday.  Everything went well, just have to meet with an ENT specialist before I can get an offer.  I am applying for EME Officer.

Not sure exactly what you mean by waiver but I don't think you're going to get an exact answer on this one.  I applied in April and I wrote my CFAT before my security check was complete.  I am also applying DEO but to the reserves though.
