I found this today, It's an interesting documentary on the Soviet Afghan war... It's mostly concerned with the brunt of the fighting in the north/east of Afghanistan, but worth a watch nonetheless.

I'm all for looking forward and trying to find peaceful resolutions when possible, however, isn't the entire point of Rememberance day to look back and remember those who've fallen? Without looking back, you won't know the horrors that we want to avoid repeating.
I think that's more of a list of recruiting events that they want people to go to and protest. I wonder if they're actually cohesive enough to actually organize anything at any of these events. Maybe if someone here has had a run in with them?

GAP, that article was from 13 Oct, 4 days after the blast. The next day the US revised their statement and said that they had found some radioactivity, and eventually (On the 16th or so?) they confirmed that it was a nuclear test..

Well, you can't quite give up that "Innocent until pr oven guilty" principle whenever you feel like it. I just wish the process was streamlined so that they can go from arrest to "here's the definite proof" to carrying out the sentence in less than a week instead of the circuitous route it takes...
